I used to think Waghorn was pointless. Still do.

We are short in midfield and need to get Matty James to swap sides at half time. They can have Waghorn.

How much we paying Waghorn? How much is James on? We signed the wrong player when we had the chance.

James turned us down for Bristol City.

Almost everybody having a bad game.

Wilson looking all the more like Burge.
Defenders look like they’ve never met.
Midfield not playing simple balls or relieving pressure.
No adventure from the wingbacks.
AMs little creativity when they rarely do get on the ball.
Vik isolated but going a bit head down when the ball does get up there.

Don’t agree. Goal line clearing and good turning and running. We would be behind without him.

If Sheaf isn’t able to come on then let’s just start hoofing it up. Trying to play out from the back looks suicidal

Palmer really is a luxury player - not convinced with the signing at all, especially with his reported wages.

Or just played him on the bench he’s utterly pointless

Yes. We didn’t match the £.

Where was he living? Leicestershire? We should have chucked the money at him.

Palmer is only any good if he’s got the ball and people to pass to. When we decide to play ten men thirty yards from goal and Vik on his own he’s pointless. Same as Waghorn TBH. Defence needs to sort their shit out and the rest will work out. Still don’t see the point of Jamie Allen. Has he won the ball once today?

You can't go up for a header with the goalkeeper then? Also, Wilson was moving towards Semenyo?

Fair. Still just saw Wilson fail to catch the ball and it come off Semenyos head. Can players not touch the goalkeeper now then?

Not when they've got two hands on the ball they can't!

Why he’s more at home on the treatment table. We have not exactly missed him to date

No we shouldn’t. Paying him big money means we have to leave one of Hamer or Sheaf out. Money could have been a lot better spent elsewhere. A striker was the right decision but it’s unfortunate we got Waghorn.

He'd also played under NP before and he probably saw Bristol C as a step up - I would imagine he still lives in Leicestershire if he was living there before. We didn't exactly miss him last season though.

The only time I truly feel secure when watching us today is Wilson has two hands on the ball.

He looked ok when we had possession but since we scored we haven’t had any and everyone looks poor. Foolish to pin the blame on him

Watching Allen is like watching an 11 year old picked to play against the sixth formers. Its actually cringe watching him get out paced, muscled and dominated every single time

We had the same issue. Well for us anyway, he doesn’t suit our game. Pearson likes runners, high press etc

There is a player there though

Poor half. I've already said it but you can't play 2 up top and Palmer. You basically give the whole of the midfield to the opposition.

Everyone has been under par, but Wilson, Allen, Doyle and Panzo in particular have been really poor.

Bar a few step overs in the first 15 mins Palmer has been anonymous.

It's only going to get kicked out of play again, so he might as well do that part himself...

Semenyo best player in the league whenever I see them

Pretty simple for me. Kane, Waghorn and Palmer faded very fast in that half which exposed the weaknesses in others like Allen. Again comes back to why Kane and Waghorn have been barely used and why Palmer still can't put 2x 90 minutes in a week together.

Need Sheaf back to get control of midfield. Need Waghorn to stop pointing and start playing. This was a good chance for him but so far he has looked as inept as ever. Palmer has run out of steam after a bright start. Panzo has lost his head, Adi will get it back on at half time. Allen is too lightweight, and needs to grab a few who are not performing if he wants to wear the armband. Early changes required from Robins.

Dunno though.

Maybe a stat guy on here will know but the PPG we had with him in the side was play-off value I believe.

Missed opportunity IMO.
