You've had a stinker there. Only criticism, was taking that through ball on outside foot, not inside.

We need him in this kind of game, forcing mistakes from their players. Also, in fairness, he tends to not fuck about in front off goal when he gets half a chance.

I think Eccles has the best delivery of all our wingbacks TBH, actually looks up and picks a man rather than just swinging his foot at it.

All about decision making with us, and he chose correctly then.

I assumed Eccles playing high was tactical as Bidwell is a bit more conservative and we turn it into a back 4 if he gets caught high. People were criticising Kane for exactly the same last weekend - too much of a coincidence for me, sure he has been told to be an outlet.

I don't care what anyone says about Wilson, at least he catches the ball sometimes. Their keeper is having a shocker - keep pinging it at him and there's a rebound goal or two in this I reckon.

Tidy first half, let's hope they keep it up.

He’s playing the best he has since joining the club. Long may the form continue

I would imagine Palmer will come on for O'Hare

Robins said he didn't want O'Hare to play 90 mins on Saturday, so can't imagine he'd be too keen for him to play 90 again tonight

But yeah in future that's definitely going to be our best attacking 3.

As a long suffering fan the pessimist in me now sees Blackburn making a 10 million bid for Hamer in the transfer window - he has crushed their midfield - they will be having nightmares about his first half performance for weeks.

Allen's not been shit at all. It's just frustrating cos he's punching above his weight so you see many what if moments when he plays.

Fluffed his lines when out through by Hamer, beaten easily in our box, never anywhere near challenging for the ball.

Playing well but looked like we would continue to play us out of our chances all game then give them something easy. very nearly happened too.

Agree suspect that was the plan. Interesting that Brereton-Diaz spent a lot of that half pulling out wide on the left to exploit that space and run at Rose, they’ve clearly identified our weak side

Brilliant 1st half. , but Blackburn look dangerous going forward. They spend too much time trying to be Man Coty with the short passing in defence, but I feel we’ll need a 2nd goal. Some of our forward play was excellent. Vik not at his best though

He slows down everything he touches, rarely challenges for the ball or gets near his man. It’s literally just he’s got little legs so it looks like he’s running fast. But watch his actual impact on the game (other than scoring a tap in)

In a 1-0, that is still quite an impact if everything you said was spot on. Maybe credit his movement to make those runs into the box?

He’s got a good engine and gets around really well but his first touch let’s him down way too much

It's annoying because he always says things 3 seconds after I think it. By then I'm half way through a sentence on here which i then delete in case people just thinking I'm parroting Oggy on here.

He definitely looks a lot calmer than usual, playing better for it too, imho.

Really strong half, everyone has done their part. My only concern; when does the sting come? When do Blackburn start playing?!

In all seriousness, offensively we shouldn’t be surprised we have five very good footballers and a worker. Plus two of the back three are comfortable on the ball, as is the RWB. So we are playing good football, because we have players who can do it.

Second goal and I see them capitulating; they look way too over confident at the back. Keep up the press, then once they look tired get Palmer on.

Have to give credit to the defensive unit; very inexperienced but playing the game really well. Panzo having game of the season, and Sheaf is returning to form.

Hamer being a leader again and bringing us up the pitch and COH is COH; we’ve absolutely missed him.

I just wish I had my glasses so I could fully enjoy it!

Aside from the Stoke goal I think most of his for us he’s taken first time, so it’s in his locker

Well yeah but my initial post was what he’s done outside of the goal.

Look, just leave me to hate him. No one’s every going to convince me he’s a Championship player.

Blackburn have looked dangerous but the main thing is we haven’t given them enough of the ball to threaten more often. Will punish us if we switch off

im not really talking about in the area he just seems to take a ball in the centre circle in a good position with a break on and just boot it to the opposition a lot.

Hamer struggling. Wouldn’t surprised me if it was part of their game plan to smash him early door as he’s been running the game.

Yeah it was a bit obvious. Come straight out and smash him early.

Deeney smashed Hamer, couple of minutes later he was sent off.
