Robins rated as City's rivals table eye-watering offer for winger

It's part way down into the story. Notts County and Diego Capel.

Madness isn't it. Imagine if he came in, got injured but they had to pay him £10k a week still.

He was released in August.

Just how long is it going to take to get him match fit?

It's like Yakubu all over again, albeit that at 30 Capel is exactly half Yakubu's age

Very odd - not even as if he's a huge name for other commercials. If they have £15k p/w to spend, they could have got 3-4 players that are still too good for this league and would have made more of a combined difference with less risk.

Didn't they do it before with Sven and Kasper Schmeichel?

They did - was that the same owner though or a previous regime? Even now I'm sure Nolan, Stead and Ameobi would already command decent salaries for this level so unless highly incentivised I was surprised in that article that a Luton player on £3500 was the highest. It is a lot, but I would've thought some more than that.

Just googled Sven's season, Lee Hughes got 30 in 39 games in League 2.
