    Brad Collins Poll

The continued promotion of Collins on the basis that his distribution is good seems at odds to the primary function of a keeper. As Brian Clough stated the goalies job is to stop the ball going in the net. On that premise Collins should not be picked, as he consistently fails.

I started watching city in 1966 and seen numerous keepers from Bill Glazier through to now. I remember Raddy A being dropped for the season by Bobby Gould for dropping a few clangers, but Collins has made far more mistakes and yet retained his place. I wonder if it’s now occurred to Collins that he’s not suited to professional football? If so , he could do himself, his teammates a favour by handing in his retirement notice tomorrow morning ( with immediate effect)

I appreciate that Collins distribution is possibly better than Wilson’s. However, the primary role of a goalkeeper is to stop the ball going in the net. Collins fails miserably on this primary role. To keep picking him means we have to score 3 goals every game to get any points.

I watched Collins during warm up and he doesn't seem capable of a high vertical jump. If you watch the corner, where they hit the bar. He is out jumped by outfield players AND given the reach of his arms he should have reached the ball in his 6 yard box.
