A very strange & unsettling time , behind the scenes . I hope that there are quality signings/replacements in the pipeline , as by tomorrow afternoon, we could be sitting on just 1 point from our first 2 games , after looking at the kindest fixture fall , in seasons .

This time last season, we were awful at Stoke , with only Hadji showing up . We were led to believe that we are fitter , stronger etc etc, so it was fair to assume a game of relative dominance, over an embargoed team , that survived last season, by the skin of their teeth . What a damp squib...

The Hull keeper was the m o m against us last season & the keeper we thought at the time , the one to look at . This lad must have something about him , but whatever happens, their old manager is waiting in the wings , to take him to Blades …… that’s if he left amicably ?

The problem to that statement, is that instead of the possibility of being on 12 points & still in the cup , we could be floundering again in mid table & beaten by a lower league side , for the umpteenth time !

The feeling before this window opened was one of high expectations, but we have somehow stagnated & I can’t believe that Lampard is happy with the season just about to start . Our latest player of interest , is a lower league player , who’s a holding midfielder …. A position that we have covered...

That Luka Vuskovic is supposed to be excellent & as a 6’ plus centre half , with pace to burn …….. Doug a loan would be superb for us & then you can keep your millions in the bank ?

Hopefully, we have already identified where this money will be spent ( if any ) as prem quality loans , will leave money in Doug’s bank account, hopefully for the final pieces of the jigsaw in January ?

Just try to clear some of our “ deck “ , before ( hopefully ) Doug will allow for 2 or 3 quality loans to make us definitely top 3 contenders & mirror what Scumderland did last season ?

What a wonderful dream this would be , with 2 new bronze statues of Joy & Tim , adorned by 100’s of pigeons to formally greet you , between Golden Arches & further outside , the noise of thousands of cars trying to get out of the car parks …….

We were led to believe that Doug , Frank & Dean , had identified their wanted players , on 2 lists prior to the play offs ? The B list has obviously gone awry somewhere down the line …..or is it partly that our surplus players , have no interest to other clubs , to add to our transfer kitty ……
