    Jodi Jones

Scores a 119th winner for Notts County against Bromley in the National League play-off semi-final. Delighted for him.

Have Wasps got a ground for next season?

I thought they had agreed a deal to play at Solihull Moor’s ground next season. However, reading the Cov Rugby Club forum just now, it would appear that that isn’t the case, and that they seem to be considering various options. That worries me, is there a chance that they could poll up at the...

    Jodi Jones

Has joined Notts County. Let’s hope he can rebuild his career there. At least he seems to be wanted there.

    Bob Wesson

A good goalkeeper who never let the team down. Replaced by the exceptional Bill Glazier, but a good servant, who was in at the start of Jimmy Hill’s Sky Blue revolution. R.I.P. Bob.

    60 years ago today.

Jimmy Hill appointed to the Manager position at CCFC. And so it began……. Photograph on the City website.

    Geoff Courtois

I’ve come to this a bit late, but have just seen that Geoff Courtois, Head of PE at King Henry V111 for many years, died in September of last year. I had a pretty uninspiring time there in the 60’s, but Geoff was one teacher who I remember with any fondness (well, two to be fair) a really good...

    Chris Chilton

I’d forgotten that he’d played for us, for a very short while before he was injured. Another ex player suffering from dementia.

Is anyone else feeling the pressure?

Of watching City twice a week on the TV/ iPad etc? Living near Newcastle in the North East, I would usually get to ten to a dozen games a season, and maybe see a couple on the box. I know I must be a snowflake, but now twice a week, I go through a couple of hours of white knuckled ride, waiting...

    14 November 1940

This time 80 years ago, out City was being pounded by German bombers. The City recovered, and fully played it’s part in the war effort. Respect to our Mothers/Fathers/Grandparents, some of whom lost their lives, and many of whom lost their homes. Should make us proud of our City.

    Item Coventry Blitz

This is, I’m sure, in the wrong area, but for all proud Coventrians on this forum, can I recommend a book I’m reading by Frederick Taylor, ‘COVENTRY, Thursday, 24 November 1940’? Excellent background and information about our City before, during, and after the blitz. Feel free to bump on Nick...

    Evans’s Behaviour

Was, in my opinion, a disgrace to football. I didn’t think we would get away tickets, so we got tickets in the Mansfield main stand, and were sitting 5 rows behind the Mansfield dugout. We’ve all seen top managers lose it occasionally with the officials (Ferguson, Conte, Wenger, Mourinhio etc)...

    Casper and Corey

How dreadful for these little boy’s family and friends, and for the whole City. Cov players will be wearing black armbands, should we as fans do something? A minutes applause on 2 and 6 minutes, or perhaps on 26 minutes? Not sure how these things are arranged? Thoughts?

    Jimmy Armfield

Very sad to hear that Jimmy Armfield has passed away. Had an excellent career in football, and was, in my opinion, the best match summariser on radio. Seemed quite a humble man who always knew it was about the football, and not him. Understated, but very knowledgeable, with an obvious love of...

    Anybody fancy some Kipling?

'if you can meet with triumph and disaster, and treat those two imposters just the same....' We were overblown with confidence after two games, and now amongst some, it's all doom and gloom. I'm not sure of the quality of the teams in this league, but I do believe that teams will be well...

    Maddison

Speaking to two Norwich City friends who both said that Maddison was MOTM against QPR last night. Comfortable on the ball, and fantastic set piece delivery, looks a real player. Be good to see him develop into a really good player. They don't think they'll have him for long, so let's hope if...

    Who's going to Rochdale???

I am - hopefully (and I expect) to see great support for City!

    I'm just saying....

A great result on Sunday, the team and fans did the City of Coventry proud. Every player put a real shift in, and worked really hard to defend what we had. I think the team have tried hard all season, they just haven't had the organisation and game plan that they did on Sunday, nor the...
