    Transfer Rumour MVE to Wolfsburg

Grimes 2 ??? Surely not, people on here say he doesn't get up the pitch and plays behind our two CB's 😂

Slagging off players needs to stop.

For me it's about giving constructive and balanced criticism. So you mention weaknesses but strengths also. Allowing time for players to settle at a club and adopt to a new level of football. I have little time for the "he's shit get rid" brigade. Anymore than "we need to make 5 subs at...

    Let’s be Frank.

One of the reasons he came here was the strength of the squad.

    The Squad

Because they are still better than the alternative and football is a result business. Speak to any ex professional and they will tell you they played when not fully fit on many occasions. Fans live in an idealistic world a lot of the time.

    Liam Kitching

Players like Thomas, Kitching, Torp, Mason Clarke and Sakamoto need to kick on this year if we are to cement ourselves into being a top four side. I think all of those players can be developed and improved from last season.

    The Squad

Lots of players up and down the leagues are playing when not fully fit. Especially important and gifted players. Clubs don't declare players are playing with knocks and strains for obvious reasons. The level of unfitness can vary greatly, from a painful bruise, a strain that is painful for 10...

    The Squad

You also get to a certain level with players and systems and tactics are actually coached less. Because really good players just know how to react to the situation. You also have to give them the freedom to create and do something different. I am not saying we are at that level yet as a...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

He had some good moments on Saturday but we need to see him do it consistently. Sakamoto needs to be more consistent as well, especially away from home. There is a lot of talk about 3 strikers, Wright, Simms and BTA and goals. But in our formation EMC a and Sakamoto aren't out and out...

    CBS Train station

It's down to the rail company to put the trains on. But yes a bit bonkers, I can only think it comes down to cost.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

He hasn't got a trick to go past a defender. He relies on pace and bulk. It might have worked in League One, but the reason why I think he struggles at this level. He just looks clumsy. As I have said before, a player we need improved performances from this year.

    CBS Train station

Get the shuttle bus £5 return. No cash, card only. No singles. You need a ticket for the return journey. But more reliable than the trains. Depart from the railway station Central Six side.

Transfer Rumour Bassette to FC Utrecht

Like rifts between players because they weren't holding hands when they got off the coach or is someone not talking to the others because they were listening to their headphones. 😂

Match Thread Coventry City - Hull City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Aug

Probably because their 5 was Lundstram, who was playing central midfield and their play maker from the back.

    Matty Grimes

Not when playing out from the back, he used to sit very deep for us. Both move up the pitch as the team progresses. The same as Jonathan Hogg at Huddersfield and going back a few years he was one of the best midfielders in the Championship for finding pockets of space and distributing the ball.

    Matty Grimes

He is very deep when we are playing out from the back because he likes all his passing options to be in front of him, where he can see them. Gary McAllister was the same. But as we progress up the pitch so does Grimes, he plays a lot of ball into the box.

    Let’s be Frank.

I say it every year, it takes at least 5 games for all teams to settle into a season. Only then do you start to get an indication who is capable and who might struggle. Even then it can turn over a season. But anybody fretting after one game, please take a breath for your own sanity.

    Striker

I don’t disagree with either of those comments. But if you play three up front the two wider players are there to put good ball into the box and to contribute to the goal scoring. If we are to improve as a team this year Sakamoto and Mason Clarke are two players who need to improve. Both need...

Plus we rarely get it over the first defender.

Right in front of me. Reckless with feet off the ground and a booking all day long. Very good tackle in the 1970's though. Dasilva had a good game playing out and going forward. But he hasn't got a clue about defending and sensing danger. Grimes had a right go at him for just jogging back...
