Wright's very first contribution where he hit the crossbar against Leicester showed his quality. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong but it may have been you who'd written him off based on his highlight reel where a comparison was made to Bakayoko.

Exactly this. If anyone needs some perspective, always read Robins’ post match interviews. They’re mostly spot on and he’s frank in his assessments. First, he knows we need more quality to get to the next level (needs to be down ‘sustainably’). Secondly, he’s acknowledged that our lack of depth...

We’re conceded the 7th least goals in the league and the only teams above us with a better GA record is Leicester, Leeds, Ipswich and WBA. Hardly a ‘poor year’. Out attack is the 6th best so our attack and defensive records are similar.

Even this forum has the same temperament as a toddler at times. Euphoric when we’re winning and raging when we’re losing. One minute we’ve got a great team, the next it’s totally back to the drawing board.

Thomas is being asked to play a certain way and MR gives him the confidence to do so. He’s just turned 23 and will improve his game. McFadz, before he came Mr. Reliable , had a mistake in him too. Patience is a virtue and we’ll be better next season.

Tantrums ‘R’ Us when we lose a game. Often without thinking about the bigger picture or long term.

He hits the ball first… what difference is it if he hits the ball slightly harder?!

Probably the best option but not exactly a silver bullet that takes away the danger. Hull get a shot off from 10-12 yards out? In short, Thomas puts Collins in a really difficult position and the goal is somehow Collins fault? The manager doesn’t need one scapegoat like fans. A good manager...

    24/25 changes?

It’s not really MR’s fault he’s scored 1 league since September - he signed the new contract after a fantastic burst of goals in August.

This is where I disagree strongly. If you watched last night, as soon as Sheaf went off we lost our ability to progress the ball - a lot of side-to-side passing. It’s not our strongest area of depth at all. If we’re in a position where we require Lati and Burroughs end up playing CM for us...

Yes and no. First things first, there has to be a mitigation that we just look leggy and don’t have the depth required to keep the team fresh. However, looking at our results against the top half teams - it’s awful. Last season, we didn’t lose those big games and this season is the opposite...

All due respect to Oggy, he played GK at a point where they didn’t play with their feet. I was in block 31 so had a pretty good view of it and I genuinely don’t believe he could’ve hit it first time to the sides because their striker was on top of him. The options in my mind were: 1) take the...

Not defending Collins at all. Every player is replaceable and as we move up the levels, we need to continually improve it we get left behind. It’s a ruthless business. With Kelly leaving, we will be signing a CM and Robins won’t be signing just a back up. That would be against the concept of...

So he finished the season as their number 1, is that right or are we splitting hairs?

    24/25 changes?

I share the same concerns with We also have the best midfield in the league apparently… Results against top half teams say otherwise. The stats do make a solid case for Sheaf to be one of, if not the best midfielder but his absence is sorely missed whenever he’s off the pitch.

He was until he got injured and they got a loanee in. Was their number 1 when they finished in the playoffs too.

In Oggy’s own words, he’d have conceded a red card and a penalty to save face. Even if Hull miss said penalty, it’s advantage to Hull. Not really constructive, is it?

I wonder if Robins agrees we need a new number 1…

3 times in 5 years - we’re not off target are we? It’s not unreasonable to get some bodies in for next season and have a right go at playoffs with a flirtation of automatics. We’ve achieved a lot this season and a lot of younger players will naturally develop and improve. We have invested...

    24/25 changes?

We’re short in a lot of areas and the season has caught up us. Having to play Hull a few days after the semi-final was a difficult ask. In the priorities I outlined earlier in the thread show how short we are in places. We play 4-2-3-1 and going into next season we have; 2 recognised wingers, 3...
