Don't tell SISU... Squad 'worth' £8.2M

Apologies if this has already been posted... http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/coventry-city/startseite/verein_990.html Laughable estimates some of them!

In a way losing could be a good thing

Good attempt! I'll buy it, especially given the alternatives. I do want to see some actions from Robins over the coming days to make a few points to the players. Would love to see a few shipped out on loan and McDonald in for an extended run... he deserves it!

    Help

Think many of us will be able to afford what's left then too CKC! When will will hit rock bottom... looking forward to bouncing a little.

    that pen

Robins might have said it was a pen, but he also said the ref already had the whistle in his mouth ready to blow... clear message there!

    If we went down...

Sooner or later things will turn and we'll pull together a half decent run... 4-5 games with 3 or 4 wins. I fear predictions of mid-table first season are true and right now most would take it. All that talk of a "League 1" holiday!

The positive in all this is

Yeah Oxford fans are saying his head was turned by Cov... in the wrong direction clearly (so if it's true shows REALLY bad judgement). PUSB for once please!?!

The positive in all this is

Also... We didn't get Chris Wilder... Take a peek at how things have turned at Oxford - mirroring our form with 5 defeats on the trot, the latest against the mighty Bradford.

    The new manager will be....

Having seen both their teams in actions today, absolutely no question that its Tisdale over Wilder... Wilder nearly changed a game today (first time in a couple of years I've watched them), and in truth was a little unlucky not to get back to 3-3. However, Exeter ran rings around Oxford and...

    Chris Wilder

Wilder does try to play attractive football... however, he never found a regular goalscorer (closest he cam e was Constable who is very hit an miss... and always the target for other clubs - Swindon, Bournemouth, Bristol R, etc.). He does also find it hard to change a game - very like our last...

    Chris Wilder

Yeah, Like all clubs there are people who support the manager and those that don't. My view is as a neutral (apart from wanting to see them win for my boys) who has probably seen more of his team playing than most on here in the last 18 months... then again I only see Cov 8-10 times a season...

    Chris Wilder

If it's Wilder, then so be it. I'll be behind him and hope he's learnt lessons from his time at Oxford. He will inherit a side capable of reaching the play-offs, assuming he can install the discipline defensively and play to our forward's strengths. He may well set-up the team in an...

    Bigi Settled at Newcastle

Only positive thoughts for Bigi. Has been great since he left - only positive words for us. Good luck and hope he does return one day (as he's alluded to) in happier times.

When we will get our 1st league win ?

We're on TV aren't we? Usually humiliation or an honourable spirited defeat, with someone sent off - my bet's on the latter.

    Chris Wilder

No more negatives from me on Mr Wilder... in case he comes! On the positive side, If he does turn-up... I'd like to see him bring a couple of players. Alfie Potter - attacking player, fast skillful (missed much of last season with a broken leg, but back and with a bite too- a joy to see him...

    Chris Wilder

Agree, no guarantees and he might be fabulous for us. Stats are however skewed by time in the conference and 10-12 very poor teams in the 4th tier last year. A listen to the phone-in on local radio here will tell you he's still to win over most fans (not that phone -ins are...

    Chris Wilder

Probably 2nd or 3rd highest budget last year... lots of loan players in towards the end of the season but very little quality (Robbie Hall from West Ham was good, but too many journeymen) and not great spirit, especially when Duberry was injured or suspended.

    Chris Wilder

Fair point... just seems much longer given how far we've fallen. Also Andy hasn't aged well...

    Chris Wilder

Please no. I was a season ticket holder at Oxford last year (taking my sons to see their local team) and saw a team that should have gone up falter at the last hurdle - Another manager that doesn't appear to be able to sort things defensively and his team was very adept at throwing away...

    Keys and Hoffman

RK doing a nice job on Talk SPort this morning with lots of CCFC references today... Cov-related guests too (too many to be a coincidence). One brief comment about the 'troubles' (referenced the 10 days too)... basically said things are happening and he's been asked not to say too much -...
