I may end up being proven to be wrong, but Rushworth seems ring-rusty rather than poor. Of course, whichever one of those it truly is is an issue right now.
Not sure why Rushworth's getting shit, but would have to watch it back. Regardless, we're cutting them open almost at will. As long as we keep playing like this we'll be fine.
I can get on board with him pulling a cat from a bag, or even a rabbit from a hat, but even for our lord and saviour Sir Douglas of Bling, a cat from a hat might be a miracle too far.
I mean, clearly I'm going to watch the game because it's City, but I kind of resent the need for me to spend the time watching what is basically reserve team football. It's just a fairly pointless competition at this stage. I'd almost prefer them to draw lots and start at round 3.
That was my thinking - a bit like how MR used to stumble upon winning formations, perhaps Tatsu's injury means we've stumbled upon a winning line-up. Early days, of course, but it's a definite possibility.
What we've got to remember is that the Arena has been underinvested in for a long time. Frasers have done a decent job tbf, but there's still loads to do to improve it. It'll take time - probably a few years - before it's really functioning fully.
Can't wait for the Facebook posts slagging Doug...
It must be a nightmare for opposing managers. How do you stop our attack when it's this fluid? So many threats from so many areas. Wright, EMC, BTA, Rudoni, Torp, all are capable of scoring from fast, one-touch play, and then you have Big Bobby Thomas who can nod them in from set-pieces. I'm...
I know we're only 3 games in, but two players as joint highest scorer in the Championship with 3, and two players second-highest with 2. And one player joint top assist maker with 3, and one joint second highest with 2.
