No ones getting put off by anything posted in this thread. This game simply hasn't captured the imagination of a lot of people.

We've also had a lot more bigger games in recent years then we did around the time of the two league cup games you've mentioned. Big days out used to be few and far between.

The focus has been taken off the footballing side ofcthe fixture because the ticketing has been dealt with appallingly. King gets,some things right, he gets some wrong. But he's got this badly wrong. Sales seem to bear that out.

To be fair, while agreeing with your general point about them I think I've seen more classic games against Tottenham than anyone else. The 4-3 in 1986 was one of my all time favourites.
