This Player Cull / Retain List

Thank Christ for stingy SISU only giving out one year deals. I remember last summer arguing that it was probably a good thing, I was right.

    Mowbray Era Begins The Choices

Turgott? Yes he scored at Peterborough but didn't look great otherwise.

    Walking in a Mowbray Wonderland?

How do you know who is and who isn't a yes man. I'm not jumping the gun when I suggest that you don't know any of the managers listed. As for Dowie, he was the first casualty of the SISU era, clearly too much of a yes man for them to tolerate. I think it was 2 months in!

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

If I know fiver I'd say his comment was firmly tongue in cheek.

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

Yes. If there isn't money to pay the annual interest what happens? If Wasps can't repay the investor at the end of the term what happens?

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

It'll be interesting to see how it performs. Do you know whether investors are entitled to their full investment back. I've read that the bonds can be traded which suggests their price isn't fixed or guaranteed.

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

It's about their standard of behaviour. Yes, it might get a good deal for the rate payer (open to debate) but so could any number of behaviours, none of which would be deemed acceptable regardless of a return for the rate payer. Interesting how you measure the justification in pure finance...

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

The mitigation of the risk was the amount the council would receive back over the life of the loan. They're now in a position where they've got the capital back + some interest but their favoured leaseholder has mortgages its lease to unknown bondholders to the tune of £35m. That said, no...

20 goal a season striker, main priority

Just saw that Mackail-Smith has made 10 appearances in 2 years, perhaps not.

20 goal a season striker, main priority

Craig Mackail Smith is available on a free. Good record at this level but is 31. Mowbray I think will try and pluck a young striker who hasn't made it at a PL club. Similar to what he did with Ishmael Miller at WBA.

Sisu make official complaint over Coventry councillors' conduct

Lots of people under 30 are resigned to working until their 70s. What's the point in contributing to a pension you won't benefit from is the prevailing attitude. (though the recent changes to allow a lump sum instead of an annuity change things a bit).

Yes, regulated bonds of the sort offered by banks. Not retail bonds which are risky.
