What are your views on the fashion for building mock castles during the 19th century? Although gothic in nature some of them had very few if any classic gothic features.

    Allotment/Veg patch

Too bad. I keep chucking chicken manure pellets at them and water with seaweed or home-made comfrey tea once per week. Just have to hope for the best.

    Allotment/Veg patch

Here's my spuds in bags and parsnips and carrots in pots. The tall flower is one of last year's parsnips I accidentally left in - so I'm letting it grow for the seed. Also a photo of my as yet anaemic swede.

    Allotment/Veg patch

Any tips on swede guys? Doing my first this year and whilst they are coming along the edible bit is not very bulbous yet. Do I need to water more often?

    Allotment/Veg patch

Mine are about 12 inches, which is fine for everything apart from root veg. I grow all root veg in bags or old plastic bins. Spuds go in bags and are thriving this year. Carrots and parsnips in bins. I started doing this because I heard that the carrot fly cannot go higher than a few inches...

    What do we need ?

We need much more than two to compete at this level. Even this thread wouldn't get into an average Championship forum.

    Genuine Question-SISU

That just sounds too naive for what are supposed to be sophisticated investors.

    Genuine Question-SISU

I agree - some would like that. I just think most people prefer less hassle and to have the finished product. I think SISU thought that too.

    Genuine Question-SISU

I think that a football club is largely intangible as an asset, so people who buy are doing so for emotional reasons and not for a big return financially. It's all very well looking at the income from the Premiership but is it realistic to think that this would lead to a large profit? I don't...

I'm sure some people would. Not me though - but I'm prejudiced as I saw him play.

    Ricoh - Gut Feeling

I'm sure the EU will have a requirement that everything that happens after we left continues to be under their jurisdiction... without expressing any opinion on the matter personally, I just cannot see the UK agreeing to that. It's possible I guess that the compromise position could be that...

    Ricoh - Gut Feeling

Genuine question: if the case hasn't been heard before 31 December does that mean that the EU no longer has any jurisdiction and hence this is all a moot point? Back in the Ricoh on 1 Jan?

It's all very well offering practical help, but where is the cathedral when we need imaginary help in the form of prayers and thoughts?
