    Sisu bullying back-firing?

The council call it the £113m Arena. Are you saying it really cost £134m to construct!? Who would be to blame for such horrendous cost overruns? Why are the council the freeholder when they contributed around £10m but ACL paid twice as much yet only got a 50 year lease! It really demonstrates...

He's dreadful. Another Sky Blue Flid classic.

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

The council set ACL up to fail. The £21m lease premium either way was suicide. What did that £21m pay for? It hamstrung ACL and its tenant.

What's the score with the connection these days? Has it gone?

It's more a reference back to comments made by that Paul Breed character I think.

Fisher: Butts Park Arena is our preffered option

Park and ride at the Memorial Park too. Don't forget the Emirates or Stamford Bridge, virtually no parking at either.

    New Sponsor for Shorts

Definitely part of the scaffold company's contract to help with the construction of the City of Coventry Stadium at the Butts

If you could ask one question

Which directors? Loan to whom? Why was it called in at that particular time? What happened to the £2m cash? Was it just used to support everyday operation?

If you could ask one question

I would like to ask who it was in 2003 that CCFC owed £6.5m to which ultimately led to the sale of their share in ACL, and why they raised the money in that way rather than retaining the asset.

    The truth is out there

It was the Yorkshire Bank (not that it matters). The second question is interesting, you'd have to feel it was Wasps who made the first move, it would be very poor on the part of the council if it wasn't. Then again, it could have been the 'local charity' who made the first connection with Wasps.

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

Where's your evidence? SISU were discussing the 50% share in 2012. They hadn't discussed it at the point of taking over the club, nor was it offered. There was a secret formula for calculating how much CCFC would buy back the Higgs Share which was used to start the 2012 discussions (and...

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

Because it was worth a lot less, as the deal with Wasps testifies.

    The truth is out there

Our thoughts are aligned, it's becoming clearer that the council's loan to ACL in effect was to smooth the path for Wasps to buy into ACL when the time was right. Whether that could be argued as state aid or not is debatable, but it would be nice to have it in the public domain that the council...

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Although, perhaps the Wasps deal was background noise to JR1, why was it that the council got cold feet about the deal to distress the YB mortgage? It never was explained.......

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

The judges haven't looked at the deal with Wasps. They looked at events that took place during 2012 predominantly.

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

I want the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps to be scrutinised properly (in the absence of any transparency from the public authority). Therefore, bring on JR2.

    CCC end game

Yes, it's retaining power that is important. Making it look like their judgement is shrewd. I absolutely despise the council, I believe that their actions, going all the way back to the inception of the Arena on the Gasworks site, have wrecked the future prospects of the football club. They are...

'We felt it was difficult to conclude on a long-term arrangement' - Wasps pull out of Ricoh Arena ta

Why? Nothing to be worried about in the legal actions, the deal with Wasps had nothing underhand about it. It could bring cost maybe but if they're confident of their position SISU will be paying (again). Maybe I'm being simplistic.
