Fan ownership, why won't it work?

Same as that. I would have no emotional tie with the phoenix club, even less so now living outside of Cov. I'd give up on football as the game is practically ruined anyway.

Fan ownership, why won't it work?

Remember when you talk about the AFC Wimbledon dream that they don't play in Merton and took Kingstonian FC's ground from under their noses due to the latter's financial difficulties - the latter who are now playing outside of Kingston 10 miles away in Leatherhead as AFC Wimbledon cashed in on...

The mammoth sum Coventry City owners Sisu would need to walk away without loss

I get the feeling the Telegraph are sick of being out in the cold, hence the 'positive' story to try and get back in the SISU's good books.

Fan ownership, why won't it work?

The club isn't being actively marketed but is of course for sale, Fisher basically said as much with his last public announcement.

    The cheltenham 2017 thread

Just listened to the 14.10 on the radio, sounded brilliant. Gutted I am not at Cheltenham this year, weather looks blinding as well.

    Why Does Mowbray Escape Criticism?

Our biggest problem isn't what we spend it's what we spend it on. Of course more money would mean we can get better players, but I think we could get better players with the money we've got. We're tending to sign players with the wrong pedigree and almost the wrong mindset, players on their way...

Is this the investment Robins is expecting?

I can't exactly see a queue forming for any of our players.

Is this the investment Robins is expecting?

Bradford spent 4 years down there with better crowds than CCFC, I don't think they started from such a low base (we're going to be relegated as bottom club by a huge margin).

    Why Does Mowbray Escape Criticism?

No, he assembled a poor squad. He is not alone as a manager in this division working with a tight budget, so I wish everybody would stop using that as an excuse. His recruitment since August 2015 has been disastrous.

Fan ownership, why won't it work?

I like the idea of it but feel it isn't based on any realism whatsoever. If fan ownership occurred this summer, what do the leaders of the idea foresee as their key immediate objective?

Match Thread Coventry v Southend Match Thread - Tuesday 14th Mar

There was never any option to buy the Ricoh to the extent that Wasps have. Only option was half of ACL, which might have improved turnover a bit but we'd still be in a relatively poor position compared to owning Highfield Rd.

Match Thread Coventry v Southend Match Thread - Tuesday 14th Mar

The decline started in 99/2000 when Highfield Rd was sold, in the only genuine asset stripping exercise that has taken place. We've been right up against it ever since.
