As always with these things, probably a bit of us being poor and them playing well. That said, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Stoke, Bristol City and Norwich have looked good teams against us.
We have never really heard why Adi left. If it’s a Doug decision rather than Robins I would be worried. My hope is that Robins knows what he wants and we have to trust the process, but he might miss his right hand man more then he’ll realise.
In the whole time we have had Robins the start of the season is the worse style of football I have seen us play. It’s bizarre to see us go from on the floor football to suddenly reverting to long balls. Almost felt like Andy Boothroyd days.
Apart from Oxford, that is completely consistent with what has gone before. The midfield strategy on and off the pitch has been a horrible and costly error.
So frustrating that what was so obvious to literally every fan has not been seen by the management. Doug himself has claimed he wants top six finishes, so not providing proper depth in midfield is ridiculous.
