As for me being defensive, it is based on some people doubting my support or level of support for this club that i love so dearly..... and that is just plain daft.
We don't pick over every word. Only when he says something odd or ill-advised.
Him talking about 'nicking a goal' almost suggests he expects us to lose. Not what you want from a manager. As I said, I hope there was more to it and that's not what he meant.
