The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Because it pays to be prudent and not just piss your pants on the premise that it’s automatically a good deal for the U.K. because somehow it might mean brexit is awesome.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

No, you really are. The EU aren’t making a deal with the TPP they’re making a deal specifically with Japan. Not nearly the same thing and you’re inability to understand the difference is why you’re stupid.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I don’t but it was a popular move across the US political spectrum and even a broken clock is right twice a day. Have you worked out how he can stop/discourage US companies from outsourcing to Vietnam now they’ve left the TPP?

Says who? It was was said in an interview with the FT. Are the FT responsible for post brexit trade deals?

You best tell Trump he has it wrong then. Although it’s pretty clear what he means if you think about it.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The details aren’t in the public domain but from the articles I’ve read about it it’s believed to be goods.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

We might not ever join. Our serving government might agree with Trump and think it’s a bad deal.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

We’re not in talks, advanced or otherwise. We’ve had an invitation. Nothing else.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Look into the reasoning that Obama felt the need to join/create the TPP in the first place. It was about influence and curtailing China’s influence in the Pacific region by the US increasing theirs. Now they’ve pulled out China is once again the dominant market within the region and therefore...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

94% of EU goods into Japan will be tariff free. I’m sure that covers more than Gouda cheese. Scotch whiskey would have been one benefactor. The deal as a whole equates to something like one third of global trade. It’s a significant trade deal whichever way you look at it.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

We’re leaving the EU so yes, not us. What’s untrue about that exactly. What trade deal with Japan? The TTP is currently being renegotiated following the US pulling out. What we’ve been invited to join doesn’t yet exist in real terms. It’s also unlikely that we’ll be involved in negotiations...

Are they? You tell me, I haven’t said that.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

No that’s not what I’m saying, clearly. No matter how much you twist it. You’ve spent hundreds of pages complaining about European people from within the EU dictating what happens in the EU and now you want to wet your pants with excitement at the prospect of joining another trading block...

    Robins on CWR

So. If Luton thought he was good enough to start he would have started. Which again only confirms what Robins has said. Peterborough obviously saw something in him despite his lack of starts and goal to game ratio. Not so dissimilar from Bakayoko or Chaplin in that respect.

    Robins on CWR

Neither did I. You’re the only one insinuating that we had money to spend on a finished article contrary to what Robins or I did actually say when I started the thread.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Just reading some of the reasons Trump pulled out and it seems mainly due to US manufacturing being able under TTP terms to outsource US jobs to places like Vietnam where labour rates are considerably lower without any penalties for doing so as it’s allowed under the rules of TTP membership.

All agreed apparently. Coming to an EU country near you soon. Not us obviously.

    Robins on CWR

A fair bit on unfinished articles as we can’t afford the finished and freebies for whatever reason weren’t available to us/we didn’t want the ones that were.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The more I read about the TPP the more undesirable it sounds. Many members have unresolved issues on terms, we’d have little to no say on environmental and workers rights issues and pretty much all those in it have major trade with China rather than the other members meaning China are probably...
