    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

My son told me at the weekend we were signing him, I told him he was talking bollocks, for that reason alone I hope it falls through. Only room for one ITK in the family.

    What’s it all about?

I love that at the very centre of this thread is a poster who offers strangers on the internet hand jobs!

    Boddy and Comms at Club

It must be costing us ticket sales. Not releasing STs after winning the play of semi definitely did. We need to get everything you've mentioned sorted for next closed season.

Going on sba, straight there and back. I don't want to spend a second longer over there than necessary.

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

It's down to the allocation. If they'd given us 3k it wouldn't have sold out

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

We've had enough of woke speeding restrictions stopping people getting obliterated on our roads.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I read that the average cost of new rail lines in Europe is 25 million per KM, HS2 is on course to cost 200 million per KM. It won't deliver much of what it was supposed to and the costs are likely to keep increasing, I can't see the logic in ploughing on regardless. I've been sceptical since...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

But do we need to spend on infrastructure that doesn't deliver? Seems crazy.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I 100% agree with your first paragraph. But costs can't be far off quadruple what they were originally and with stage 2 or whatever it was called cancelled its not going to deliver huge chunks of what it was supposed to, is it right to just carry on because we need more infrastructure spend?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The problem is when it's watered down to the extent it doesn't achieve much of what it's supposed to is the huge overspend worth it?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah, I appreciate Shmmeee is commenting on the value of the project rather than its delivery but its going to be over budget by an eye watering amount, that much is clear.

Match Thread Exeter City (a) 29th July

It was clear to see what we were trying to do yesterday. Yes, more often than not it never quire came off but it will. As Robins said post match, we've had over change the way we play and they'll keep working on it on the training ground.

The day north western took over they reduced the number of carriages they put on. Avanti relied on the good will of drivers doing overtime to keep their trains running and had to cancel trains left right and centre when that goodwill was withdrawn. There's easy fixes to some of the issues out...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There's been numerous less expensive alternatives proposed from more flexible ticketing to repurposing existing but unused stretches of track. I don't know how successful implementing these ideas would be but I pretty much guarantee HS2 will be an expensive failure. It's already been pared...
