Dagenham & Redbridge: build up thread

Ok, assuming we play a full strength team and lose, like last year to Bury, your theory is flawed... It's better to play a weakened side to rest our best players for a long and difficult season without needless distractions e.g. a cup we won't win.

Dagenham & Redbridge: build up thread

Thomas is an asset imo as he can play anywhere in our midifeld, Kilbane imo, is more than capable playing LB, DM, CM for us, Brown and Jennings can play there so DM is 'sorted'. CM is also covered, Kilbane is not 'at a push' but Baker is, but they can still play there. AM is sorted...

Dagenham & Redbridge: build up thread

The 4-2-3-1 formation imo, does not suit us and the diamond is here to stay and I think it could work against in particular, 4-4-2 playing teams. People who put McSheffrey in CM is more because no one knows where to put him! We have a decent amount of CMs; Jennings (if signed), Daniels...

Dagenham & Redbridge: build up thread

I personally think Thorn should not play a full team. He should play something like this: Dunn Clarke Malaga Edge Hussey Daniels Baker Kilbane Jeffers Elliott ROD (Hungarian if signed) Players like Hussey + Clarke to play v Yeovil

Dagenham & Redbridge: build up thread

I doubt we'll play a strong team, no point, it's daggers, we're not going to get past R3 and we may as well keep the defo starters fit for Yeovil. You do know Barton in on International duty

    Clingan

Clingan in his first season would be hands down our best midfield but unfortunatley, he wasn't himself for whatever reasons (Boothroyd largely) and last season looked disinterested (imo). But with a midfield with Barton, Fleck, Thomas and potentially Jennings, I personally wouldn't have him...

Player you really hope has a great year?

Obviously we want the whole team to have a goodun but I'd personally like to see Barton do really well, prove PNE haters wrong and resurrect his career and if he does good enough to attract Liverpool + Chelsea, we could pocket massive profit.

    The Injured

I agree, Platt is embarresingly bad, to the point where his 'experience' means * all! I genuinely think Elliott could be a good signing.
  9. Mucca Mad Boys

    The Injured

It does, but it counts for nothing if you are simply terrible i.e. Platt Elliott has more experience in winning at a higher level and I'd rather him to nurture talent than Platt any day of the week!
  10. Mucca Mad Boys

    The Injured

So we lacked a leader last year when Platt was here, when he goes... He's a leader!? He is not a leader, he does not have good communicational skills, he , certainly does not have know-how when it comes to scoring! Ball is 19, scored same amount than Platt last year in less games, so...

    The Injured

Elliott struggled with injury when Sunderland and Wolves were in the prem whereas Platt has been mediocre at best! There's a reason he knows L1 well! Hint: It's because he's shit! As for ROD, I'd still have him in the team over Platt!
  12. Mucca Mad Boys

    The Injured

Ok fine, I'll compare Platt to Elliott, Platt, NO Int'l experience, no prem experience to int'l exp from U17s to seniors to playing in prem with Sunderland... You had to go there didn't you :jerkit::claping hands:
  13. Mucca Mad Boys

    The Injured

You are a joker, Platt might be old, but hardly exp'd at Champ level! Ball imo, is a better player and the fact a lot of Derby fans wanted him to stay shows that and last time I checked, Derby are a league above us? P.s. there is a reason Platt has joined a L2 side who came 20th last season!
  14. Mucca Mad Boys

    The Injured

It is more experienced, Keogh + Cranie, 25 been replace by Malaga + Edge, both 25, Clingan, 28 been replaced by Jennings, 27, Nimely by Elliott, 28, Norwood, 20 by Fleck, 20, Kilbane replaced Bigi, 35 to 18, 110+ intl caps to 0, Deegan, 25 (about) been replaced by Barton, 21, BUT, Barton is more...
  15. Mucca Mad Boys

    The Injured

Experienced players: Elliot, 28, Kilbane, 35, Murphy, 29, Baker 29, Sheffrey, 29 (might be wrong, if so, sorry), Jennings, 27, Wood, 27... Experience is clearly there and imo, as we have an older team this year and we have a good mix between experience and youth, plus our younguns have had their...

    sounds like husseys gone then...

Give him a break, he's in his early 20s! What's he supposed to do at 23? Lights out a 7pm?
  17. Mucca Mad Boys

    Jennings is back!

I'll reply! Oldham didn't get promoted but that is irrelevant as it's his peersonal performances are what matters, not the teams! He is yet to play for Man U, but Norwood never and I bet 90% of Cov fans wanted him back, so that is irrelvant also.

I personally dislike SISU, but no one has made an offer etc. And it appears they're learning from their mistakes. I was being arwkard.
  19. Mucca Mad Boys

    Jennings is back!

Brown did well at Oldham last year, and is a Man U player! Cameron is back in training but no where near match fitness but he is good when he had to stand in...
