    Walking Dead Season 6

Must admit, I enjoyed it. Yes the plot had a few holes in it, but you can say that about most TV series really. eg Why Rick and the team didn't instantly recognise it was a trap at the first barricade when they weren't shot at, or definitely the 2nd, and plan accordingly? Why people are...

Feel free to move this but it may be seen more in general chat

If he calls it Grendel, I'll buy him a rat.....

    Builder needed urgently!

Years ago, my old grandad saw a big rat in his outside toilet (the only toilet he had). His cat was a natural killer, always left the dead on the mat for inspection, so he chucked it in the loo and shut the door. He came back an hour later, cat was fast asleep on the windowsill, rat was still...

    Stupid questions.

Hugo Weaving, he also played Elrond in Lord of the Rings. The "joke" was that in the Matrix, there was 100 of him... not difficult to miss really, but my wife did.

    Fleck leaving

I think we do miss Fleck when he doesn't play, as we don't have someone as good as him in reserve. The bigger problem is we need someone better than him, who can give consistent above average displays most games, and not decent for a half, then poor for a half.

    Is Maddison a joker?

I didn't think he played much different from before he was sold. Occasional brilliance, the odd dive, getting caught with the ball occasionally. I think the change is with the fans. When he was ours he was a hero no matter how he played, now, he's not ours...

The visit of Swindon on Saturday

We've been waiting for all the others at the top to have a bad streak, but it's been us. We're still in it. Of course play offs are remote based on this. Of course that could all change over the remaining games. I hope it does.

    Walking Dead Season 6

I think she was playing along and appearing weak to start, but saw herself in her captors, and started to emphasise. The episode title was "in the same boat" and when she was told "you're not the good guys" it probably hit a nerve. I guess burning some guys alive may have added to the "we're...

    83/84 vs 15/16

Agree with this. Remember with him, and other managers we had back in those days and before, most chats in the pub, or work, were about who we needed to buy, who shouldn't be in the team etc. Can't recall talking about the manager needing to be sacked. Maybe back then we knew that we didn't...
