Is it the structure of this deal?

    It’s all relative ....

Agreed, but not sure that even despite all the individual talents, that a lot of those squads have the togetherness and momentum that we had last season. This should hopefully hold us in good stead and hopefully our team is greater than the sum of its parts.

Did we have him on loan at one point or have I imagined it?

The issue isn't a lack of capacity to take the tests, it's a lack of lab capacity to process them. I suspect it's tied up in Cock and co's insistence on using certain private labs.

This is an interesting article, particularly the part about susceptibility and immunity threshold. It doesn't feel like with the growing case numbers it is necessarily being proved right or wrong at this point. https://lockdownsceptics.org/addressing-the-cv19-second-wave

There is no suggestion his body isn't up to football, it is just a coincidence. You'd probably argue it is two knee injuries. One was just a reoccurrence of an injury

I don't disagree with you, but in order to not hide away we need a system that identifies infected people and stops them infecting others, which we just do not have despite months to get it in place. On a personal level I feel relatively relaxed about my own health if I was infected, which is...

I'm not terrified, just realistic and don't think I'm sort of free thinker by ignoring objective facts. The other point worth making, and it possibly clouds my thinking on this but I lost my sister aged 35 in January, from pneumonia. It makes me cringe when I see people understating the dangers...

It's because of the case numbers, even with a vaccine you can't just let case numbers go

Of course it was. Thousands of people lost loved ones and weren't even able to give them a proper send off or say goodbye. 2977 people died at 9/11 and you get tributes about it every year. There were successive weeks of deaths from covid which were way in excess of that number.

That is a false dichotomy. This country is capable of taking appropriate measures and managing the economic impact.

This was the mentality as we slept walked into in February / March and the catastrophe that followed.

    1. You're conflating cases with infections and 2. Ignoring that the case rate is despite many millions of people wearing masks, social distancing, isolating, furloughed from work etc etc. it's only killed over 600 NHS and wider socialcare staff in its path but yeah, pretty harmless all in all.
