When did it begin for you?

My dad had no interest in football. 2 of my uncles were city supporters, and their sons were too young to go. I was 9… so “old enough” :D

    CWR… Shite

It’s the hospitality seats. We wear lanyard’s to display our season tickets to show our upper class credentials. Think the sketch with John Cleese where he’s the upper class etc. :ROFLMAO:

    Preston player ratings

Radio Lancs were gushing about Grimes performance. Slightly concerned that no Preston player ever looked likely to put pressure on him though.

    What was your first game

First one I remember was the 1963 FA Cup game vs Sunderland. We were the giant killers that night. my uncle took me up, but I have a feeling he took me to games before that, but I can’t remember them.

Who decides that, the same people who decide on VAR decisions. :D but thanks for the explanation. So it has nothing to do with the ability of the person, or wither it is an attacker or defender in that position?

I’ve never bothered to try and understand what xG is or means tbh, I’m not sure how it affects the game I watched, but I have seen comments on here talk about how chances they’ve seen could have such a low/high xG? however, I didn’t mention the chances we had as I was commenting on how good a...

Yeah, I consider that to be “clean” through on goal. Always have.

Yes, you’re right. Apologies. but, he turned Lati and only had to bend it round Rushworth to score. Our other defenders were not between him and the goal when he shot. do you think they had really good chances to score another couple of goals?

this is the level of discussion you drop down to FFS? When you resort to this, it throws any credibility you may have out the window. maybe my terminology is wrong, but I consider when a player has a clear chance to score, they are through on goal. Haji for example, did well to get in front of...

Ah, ok, so my terminology is the issue. Do you think a player is only through on goal if he only has the keeper to beat? you’re right, their header wasn‘t, but if all a player has to do is bend it round the keeper to score, even if there were other defenders around, I would consider him through...

I see you missed the fact I only included the first 3 as chances, and not the offside one. Oh, and I’m not desperately trying to prove it, you know, like posting images of the chances… if people disagree that’s fine, it’s my opinion, that’s all.

I never mentioned that one, Tom did

Amazing. I hadn’t included this one as they hit the post as well. You also included one that I didn’t mention. if Haji had missed the 3 chances I mentioned, you would be berating him for missing sitters. it was a great win, and a great night at the CBS, and I’m glad they didn't take their...
