As for Ameobi, surely he had the chance to play for free BEFORE leaving Bolton, and consequently being left without a club? Case of he's now desperate maybe? Don't recall him doing anything for Bolton while he was there in the first part of the season so it's a no from me

Didn't he Go on loan to somewhere Random from Wigan as he couldn't get into their team? Thinking it was a step up to the championship rather than stepping down to try and get games

That's one of my concerns over some of the signings, and I emphasise the word 'some'. But if you look at Cole, Hunt, even MAF, they don't have age in their favour and their fitness or lack of it has shown when they've played. Whilst Cole is lasting longer in games, he's still visibly puffing...

Was just going to post somethings similar. Just watched the goals back and he could have been slated either way for the second; he came out, he didn't save it, he's criticised. Had he stayed in his line, he's likely to have been criticised. The penalty, he didn't need to make th challenge...

No denying he was shit last season. No denying he was a much improved player under Tony Mowbray. No denying our defence looked better with him. But one player doesn't make a team and we should have had better back up options.
