Whilst it's good to exchange light hearted banter such as this!! the reality is that Mr G does come out with some good stuff, obviously like Mr Linnell he can be a cheeky monkey at times, but this site would be a lot poorer without him posting.

    Next generation of fans

My dad helped teach me right from wrong, it's a generation thing. He taught me as a kid, and I carried it on with mine. If that stops whatever will the future be?

Of course the problem with proving this is that house prices far from the Arena have gone up over this period, so some spoil sports may argue that the lack of an Arena leads to increased prices. Good luck with it though.

I'll give him 3-5 years to get the figures sorted, otherwise I'll move on to plan B (which is actually the same as plan A). LOL PUSB etc.

Are CWR and CET just SISU puppets?

I wish Eakin would argue back more, I find that he is too willing to back down from putting a different view to Linnell.

Are CWR and CET just SISU puppets?

Although Linnell can be frustrating to listen to (he plays devils advocate a bit too well at times), I like the fact he is happy to state that he wouldn't attend Sixfields as a supporter. I also respect the fact he came on here to answer questions until one idiot spoilt it for the rest of us.

If we take the view that all you say here is completely correct, and a completely unacceptable way to treat your customer/tenant, basically that ACL have done a bad thing, then what? We have to move forward, what do you think should happen now? One idea would be to take up ACL on the rent free...

You do know that the club sold to F&B rights to ACL as they were struggling for cash, ACL didn't say 'we need access to the revenues' and the club thought 'oh all right then, here you go'. Why should a company who doesn't need to sell something valuable go around making ever smaller offers to...

    nuneaton say no

I reckon he'll have loads of answers, this stuff is only news to us, he's known this was coming since he first said it.

    nuneaton say no

How could any Council rule out future contact? I couldn't rule out ever seeing Pippa Middleton in the shower at the gym, but I'm only giving it another 3-5 years.

    nuneaton say no

Possibly, but I get the impression that N&B Council are pretty annoyed that their normal confidential approach has been disrupted by the enquiring party. They seem keen to pour water on the value of the approach, whether this be recent or not.

ACL have been making offers, they appear to be very open to a fair deal, probably less open to deals where their future profits are effectively gifted away. I believe ACL are happy to work with the club, to me the problems always come from the clubs current owners.

    Shame on Nuneaton & Bedworth

Statement Regarding Media SpeculationPublished Thursday 9th January 2014 Following speculation in the media about a potential application to build a football stadium in the Borough, the Leader of the Council has issued a statement. "As per our previous statement, the Council's policy, along with...

    Shame on Nuneaton & Bedworth

If I'm reading the reports correctly a summary is, Nuneaton and Bedworth haven't said yes or no to an approach, so people are assuming yes. Based on this yes assumption, a bare piece of land has been spotted, and the Telegraph are suggesting that (self generated) speculation is mounting that...

I'm saying ACL are better off based on oldskyblue58's post below (only copied part of it). but if you look at ACL accounts then breakeven is around 6m before any cost savings were made on loans etc. Since then the turnover increased to 12.4m , overheads wont have gone up much so only need to...

You're the one stating things, why do I need to do the research? The published accounts won't cover the time you're talking about, so I'm wondering whether its just pure guesswork. Again, the phrase 'dent the company's finances considerably', it's just not based on anything is it? ACL are...

Seems to be a lot of guessing in this reply. Substantial portion? Any figures to back this up? How much are the annual debt repayments that they won't come close to meeting? How much money are they losing?
