Agree with that. We need a ball winner in the middle of the park. Someone who can harry and harrass and break up play and help us gain possession of the ball. We need a bit of bite. Hoped that would be Bailey, but he's not quite that type of player.

Spot-on. When the season started I wasn't at all interested in the competition, but now considering our league position and how we have come through a couple of rounds it has become much more relevant. We need the money and we need the good cup run to help raise spirits.

And my old dad makes me laugh about Clarrie Bourton. My dad is 82 and one day last year I asked if he ever watched Clarrie Bourton play. He got really annoyed at the suggestion and was most perturbed at the thought that I believed he may have seen him play. 'Well before my time' was the retort...

And it's also a big worry that by all accounts Hartlepool could have been 2 or 3 goals up after only 20 mins yesterday. We are still only putting part good performances in. Until we eradicate that we are going to keep losing matches regularly.

Very sensible post. This forum is like the whore's drawers. We lose one and it's all 'woe is me,' and gnashing of teeth, we win one and it's 'we're going to conquer the world.' Let's just savour the victory and see where we are after Colchester away and Pompey at home.

And also from what I recall, last week there were predictions of comfortable win and 3-0, 4-1 and 5-1 against Scunthorpe. That didn't quite happen the way we thought either did it.

We are not in a relegation battle. But we are just 3 points above the relegation zone and that is a cold hard fact. Wouldn't take much for us to be back in the bottom 4. I don't think we will be in a relegation battle, but we do very much need to pull clear. And remember that last time...
