Possibly Baka. Out of contract at end of season (although a bit bare bones on strikers right now).

I would imagine anything like that would've been voided as part of the loan contract to us. Don't forget Callum Wilson was sold after we'd done all of our business. Imagine there is a small amount available from that.

Not sure this will be influenced by Matty James move. Talk of other championship clubs so may just be we are outbid. If not Crowley think we'll be looking at another number 10. Clarke has been mentioned, but I'd be concerned at bringing in too many loans.

Don't put me in that bracket, I like Shipley. Crowley is an upgrade though.

I generally watch a lot of football on TV. He wasn't a reserve player for them last year, was pretty much an every week starter.

I think we might look at a defensive player too. Whether that's a defensive mid (Kelly cover) or a central defender (Rose cover) I'm not sure. I'd lean towards the latter as Sheaf was brought in as Kelly cover, whether people agree he's right or not doesn't really matter.

Also the number of player that Birmingham have at that position (bearing in mind Karanka favours the defensive midfielders).

Biggest concern for me is affordability. He's on a decent wage, although out of contract in the summer so hopefully he'll take a long term view. Would be a cracking signing.

He's definitely better than the likes of Shipley & Allen. He definitely improves us and he fits the mould of what we look for. Whether it happens or not it's the right kind of player to look at.

He was playing up until the change of manager earlier this season. Seems the new manager just prefers other players. He often plays with 3 more defensive minded players in midfield rather than a number 10. When they do use a 10 there are a couple of other options who are decent players too in...

With a choice of Biamou or Bakayoko up front.
