They’d clearly drilled that move in training (similar to how MVE and Sakamoto do) but every time EMC checked his run to make the pass, Bidwell was so far behind the play that Sheff Utd could recover easily.
You think the club genuinely believed Hamer wanted to stay even if a PL club came in and offered £15 million?
Sorry one second, the wallet inspector just rang my doorbell
LB is the one position on the pitch where we haven’t invested any significant money in years. We really need a set-and-forget LB in the same vein as MVE.
Bidwell has gone downhill fast, coincidentally not long after he signed a new contract.
The soap opera stuff about Hamer being a turncoat/Vik being an honourable gent/O’Hare being a traitor is just embarrassing at this point. They all left for the biggest pay check at the first available opportunity. Hamer and Vik generated huge profits in the process, and but for injury so would...
This is just nonsense. He’s had two truly awful runs in the side, but also had an extended period where he was clearly the best keeper at the club. I get that he’s been shit this season but the targeting of him is just childish at this point.
If Dovin ends up being out for the rest of the season then we’ll just have to muddle through with our two remaining senior keepers, one of whom was first choice last year and the other who’s a former Gold Glove winner who’s just signed a new contract. “Season over” indeed.
There is good cause to be skeptical about Collins going forward, but there is no reason to argue that he did well tonight.
The people suggesting our season is over because our 22 year-old keeper got injured are hysterical.
You need to get over how bad he was in December - he did fine tonight, and if he continues to play like that then would be a perfectly serviceable keeper for the rest of the season.
Think tonight is a good illustration of how much we underestimate the step up if we get promoted. People talking about how players like Sakamoto, Dovin and EMC could conceivably start for us in the Premier League - we just got battered by one of the worst teams in PL history.
Weird that some of the same people who spit feathers about people clapping Hamer once are apparently fine with openly slagging our own players off before they’ve even come on.
