5km PB of 18:17 knocking 28 seconds off my previous PB. Very pleased. Lockdown has given me time for a bit of extra training (mainly 10km runs). Nice to see the results of this in my 5km time.

Anyone wear a calf compression sleeve type thing either during or after their run? If so, are they any good? Do they work? My right calf tends to get a bit tight after a run, so was thinking about trying one out. Any advice from anyone? I’m a bit basic when it comes to running, just whack on a...

    Running

Can’t help I’m afraid, but the only thing I’d echo from above is take your time and build up slowly again. Did an early morning 10k in 39:45 after 2 rest days. My right calf gets a bit tight after a few days of continuous running, but much better today which is pleasing. Now to enjoy the sun...

Video Why & what made you a Coventry Supporter

I tend to use the lines “I’ve been to Anfield more times than you” or “I’ve been to more Liverpool games than you”. Despite us being terrible for about 15/20 of my 26 years, both lines still hold true.

Video Why & what made you a Coventry Supporter

Born in Cov, so naturally had to be a Cov fan. Wouldn't change it for the world. Don't understand my mates who choose to support 'big' teams but don't go to any games - i'd much rather watch live sport than be sat at home watching on Sky.

It’s funny, before my current parkrun PB, my previous 2 were both set after a night out & a kebab. Morale of the story: drinking is good for you.

    Running

When WFH, I try to go at lunch time (to break up the day/prevent me sitting at my laptop for hours on end) but this depends on how the morning’s work has gone. If not, I go in the evening. Much prefer a mid morning run if possible though - mainly for avoiding the heat.

New 5km PB on my usual route - 18:26. Very happy with current form. Travs- how’s the twice a day training going?

    Running

Working from home is good for my ‘training’ regime. Knocked out a sub-40 min 10km yesterday and a 19 min 5km today on my usual route (which is probably a bit harder than my usual parkrun which I’ve been doing in 19:00-19:15 recently). A few more weeks of this and I’ll need a Parkrun to get a new...

Coventry park run for me today. An unexpected sub 19 mins - pleased with it especially seeing as I'd had a few beers the night before at the Huckerby/Whelan/Hedman event.

    Running

Yeah it is a half marathon. I tend to just stick to 5km because that is the parkrun distance, but I also try to do a 10km once a week as a top up. I don’t usually run much further than 10km and didn’t before the half marathon last time. I’ll probably do a few longer runs, but plan to just stick...

    Shipley delivery

In the main Tranmere thread, someone criticised Shipley’s corner just after Walsh had taken the corner... Pretty much sums up Cov fans.
