    Player ratings v Rochdale

    I don't think Thomas played as poorly as some are suggesting. I'd go for Allsopp : 5. Willis : 7. Webster : 7. Hines : 8. Clarke : 6. Pugh : 6. Thomas : 5. Fleck : 5. O'Brien : 5. Nouble : 7. Jackson : 6. Swanson : 3/4. Finch : 6. Tudgay : 6.

    Rochdale Match Thread

Thought today was very poor, more so than the stats will show. Rochdale although uninspiring did the basics well. Won the ball and played it long in the first half. They had a midget in the middle of the park who just broke up play, ran, turned inside and give it wide. When we won possession at...

    Loanees

Nouble for me, I know it's only one game but he offers something different to what we have so for that reason alobe I'd keep him.

    Rochdale away??

I'm only coming from Swinton so me and the old man will be going this one.

One thing I will add and it's a major frustration is that we seem to have to work so hard to create our chances. But we seem to give away chances far too easily. A lot if needless corners yesterday and loss of possession in deep areas. But I suppose if you want to play football Pressley's way at...

Allsop : 7. Only negative was the low cross across the six yard area. Willis : 8. Looks very solid and mobile, high hopes for him to push on this year. Webster : 7. Did well, didn't put a foot wrong and won his duals. Johnson : 6. Decent performance but distribution sometimes a little...

    Frank Nouble Signs

Lot of people slating McQuoid to be fair, I was one of them but he also was played out of position alot and he's scored a cuople this year already. If played through ght middle might just turn out to be a very good signing.

    Waggott

To be fair I think that they requested that Waggott does the media/press releases and he's viewed more favourably that Fisher. If he came out stating that he had done this for the fans he would still get a massive backlash given his actions over the last 2/3 years.

Coventry return to Ricoh v gills on sky!

Just tried to book the Saturday off work and was turned down as there is a leave ban. Think I can get the Friday off though so if the old man can make it we will be coming down from Manchester.

    Simeon Jackson

Cody was never suited to playing up front on his own. Needs a target man to play off.

    Striker signs today

    Better than Alex Lech?!?

    Striker signs today

Must admits I'm very surprised we managed to sign this lad, think he will be a very good signing for this club, hope we've got an option of another year. Agree with Shmmeee though, if we are paying decent wages for McQuoid I would consider sending him back if we are off a target man.

Just saw that Villa and Celtic were after him 2 years ago. Scottish attacking midfielder if the old Dailly Star article is correct.

    simeon jackson

Where has this rumour come from? I'd love him here, did very well in the champioship with Norwich but can't see it. Quick player and good finisher.

    My Thoughts for Saturday

I would like to see Pugh in the Connor Thomas role, see how effective he would be there, can win a tackle and looks confident on the ball.

    This formation

One of the major issues this formation seems to bring is that when we move the ball forward to the strikers, there is too large a distance between them and the midfield. Something Bradford did very well is they didn't play the ball until Hanson had players around him to gather up after his...

    Ryan Haynes

You can see how good he is at striking a ball when he warms up before a match or at half time. Every ball he strikes seems to go where he wants it. I thought he was ok defensively last night, got skinned once when the winger cut back inside but marshalled him well after that.

    Bradford match thread

That's what I mean SW, Hanson is very good at doing what he does, we used to have Dublin that did similar so I'm not complaining but at the material time when the ref looks, Hanson stops fouling so the ref can only give what he sees when he turns but he should be glancing over at them two before...

    Bradford match thread

I'm sorry but if you've watched Hanson like you say you have then you know as soon as that long flighted ball is played to him he puts his arms on the defender and starts fouling himself. Don't get me wrong, he's very good at what he does and is very effective. He released the defender to stop...
