    The official NFL Thread

Love these things. Still recommend Hard Knocks to any NFL fans. The level of detail for the coaching etc is extraordinary. Over 20 coaches for an Nfl 53 man roster. Nearly every position has its own specialist coach. That's before you start including scouts, analysts etc.

    Brighton sack Hughton

They are both playing a style of football designed to eke out enough points to survive every season. could be described as L1 football played by better players. Not many are going to turn on the TV to watch Burnley vs Brighton on a Sunday afternoon unless you like your football a certain way...

    Brighton sack Hughton

Teams having to spend their PL TV riches just to stay up. Football paying the price for poor management when they've let wages in particular expand out of all proportion to performance or value. Teams also paying well over the odds in transfer fees from other European clubs as well. When you...

Is Ole Gunnar Solskaar the next Andy Thorn?

Just a car crash club atm. Poor transfer policy. Ridiculous wage structure. Supposed key players (superstars) far too inconsistent and (for the want of a better phrase) unprofessional attitudes. Now a lot of the players going to sulk as wages cut by at least 25% because they didn't qualify for...

Interesting article with Andy Holt - State of Lower Leagues Finances

Whole things a disgrace really. Billion pound industry operating in UK with no real transparency on ownership as people are allowed to hide behind offshore companies. Again supposedly primarily for tax reasons. Still fundamentally generating their income from UK taxpayers then dodging fair...

    Warwickshire CCC 2019 Thread

warwickshire one day season fizzling out. Been a poor one but injuries been a major factor. At least some youngsters have got some playing time. Bout time they gave up on Pollock though.

Transfer Rumour Bayliss-rumour mill already started!

Those last 3 clubs don't have much of a reputation for giving youngsters a chance. Maybe Pulis more than boro. So bayliss can do what several others have done recently take the wages and sit in their U23s or try and up his chances with another season with us. Only just turned 20 another full...

    Cry babies

Who gives a f"ck. Seriously it's 42 years ago. Probably most the posters on their site weren't even born then. They've yoyoed up and down the leagues since then. They are not a club I even give a 2nd thought to. We hadn't played them for over 10 years before this season's games.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

If we leave under any sort of cobbled together tory/lab deal we won't have a say in the Parliament or the council.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Never happen. More likely leave to become completely leave as people realize that they don't have a say whilst paying the bill. EU quite clear that to rejoin UK would have to start at the bottom , no rebate and no veto. Questionable as to whether would be allowed not to have to join Euro.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Greens have a very definite campaign for local elections. Didn't campaign for those wanting to protest 2 main parties or Brexit. Interested to know whose quote it is. Labour & those tories wanting a quick, soft Brexit will be panicking. These elections will soon be forgotten with a Euro...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

An 8% rise in their share of the vote from the last time these particular elections were held (2015) to just 19% is not that good a result in the context of the national dissatisfaction with the 2 major partie The fact is they normally average around 15-16% in these particular council elections...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Lib Dems just delusional. Independents were the main beneficiary of the protest vote. These local elections are not a reliable barometer for long-term politics. Turnout usually poor. Labour dodged a bullet by no Scottish council elections - that would have been a bloodbath for SNP. Lib Dems...
