Learning the old fashioned nonsense of 2-3 years in the 2nds then hitting the 1st team when you're 25-26 was wasteful. Got kids 15/16 playing in a lot of 2nd XIs now when school's out so they're ready that much earlier. Going to pay off in the near future.

Think there's enough interesting young batsmen worth seeing. Slightly more concerned about the bowling options. But it is a test against a Pakistan side that can be very useful in 50 over cricket - certainly going to be more aggressive than Sri Lanka were. Wonder whether Hales gets a call as well.

Bit harsh, Not really been involved in overseas test side tours since 2017 Ashes when all the quicks were pretty average. England's overseas Test form been average at best for a while now.

Pickford deserves some credit - never been a fan myself - but kept well. Do like Phillips - think he brings something extra to that midfield.

We're outnumbered about 20 to 1 by German fans in a sports bar in the middle of Budapest and we're loving it!! Locals were backing us!! Ofc the Scots & Irish were supporting Germany. All very good natured but we're giving it the big one anyway
