I love the Ricoh too. Really annoys me when people come on here and talk about us fans 'suddenly' now liking the Rioch. I've always loved the ground. Am very proud of it and everyone who comes to visit such as ex players, all say what a fine stadium it is.

What people do need to understand is that the likelihood of it only being 3 years away is a wildly optimistic estimate at best. Quite possibly it could easily be 5-7 years. There is design, planning, objection, building etc. etc. etc. This is one thing that worries me most of all. If it is 3...

But if you wait until CCFC are no more then surely you're too late. I can see the desire to start a new club now. Then, if CCFC fals into new ownership the two entities can merge. The whole point of the new club would be that they are Coventry City supporters.

Exactly. Who exactly is hurting the club the most? Owners that take the club away from its fans is the answer. We have a big game against Wolves if we were doing well and we'd get 20,000 easy at the Ricoh. This season it can only be 7,600 max. Which genius came up with that? :thinking about:

I don't quite agree. I think it will feel in some ways like it is not still our club, but it still will be our club. I think that feeling would wane over the years though and if we were at Northampton 4 years down the line I can well see any embers of loyalty dying away. For me I will tune...

I just don't like this idea of us all but taking over another club that is in a completely different town. Isn't that what Sisu are doing at the moment, taking Coventry City to a different venue away from its home? :thinking about:

But that wouldn't make any statement to Sisu and CCFC would it? 3,000 at the Ricoh for a game to watch whoever would make a clear statement to the owners.

Isn't that kind of like the whole point? If the stadium is free and available it would give them chance to play on a big stage and for disenfranchised City fans the chance to watch some football.

I've always been in favour, as long as CCFC no longer exist. If CCFC now play at Northampton for for 3 years plus, it will almost be like them not existing anymore anyway in many ways. See no problem with starting a phoenix club and then if new owners of the City come in, merging the two into...
