In the play off season though we went on a run of 2 losses in 18 games from this very same point. I just don't think we have the team for that kind of run this year. And last year backs that up as well. Another top half finish I expect this year, of course would be glad to be proven wrong...

Tbf Robins has almost always played Allen as often as he was available. The issue Allen has had has been two very injury hit seasons.

I agree with you on this, but I will play devil's advocate. Our financial situation was very different when Gyokeres was sold. With a big squad rebuild about to take place. One could argue we aren't as desperate at this time although I still think 10-12 million for Milan is a good deal.
