Will Pressley dig his own grave?

Don't know if anyone else has noticed, but since Ryan Haynes' early promise, opposition teams have targeted him and closed him down, nullifying his attacking threat, but also that there is no-one making forward runs ahead of him down the left flank in support. Today everytime he got the ball he...

Will Pressley dig his own grave?

Remember all the people calling for Swanson, O'Brien and Fleck in the middle of the park? Well I think today is what you are going to get more often than not. Swanson is very, very lightweight. Couldn't understand why Pressley didn't bring Finch on at half time for him. For the first 25...

Not a day to talk about football philosophy

You misheard. It's because of a foot budget. We pay by the inch, so can't afford anyone over 5 ft 6.

Only when we matched their high energy for that first 5 or 7 mins of the second half did we compete on anything like an equal footing. We have strength at the back in Willis, Webster and Johnson, but we can't compete physically in the midfield area at all.

I do think it was quite key that O'Brien had such an off day. I know many players were awful, but he just seemed completely out of sorts and especially off key.

Well the players we have are better than what we saw today. That was truly shocking. Awful. We cannot go through the season creating so few chances in games. It's going to kill us.

Will be wondering that until I reach my grave. At times Tudgay has a complete reluctance to go forwards. Nearly every movement is sideways or back. Really puzzled as to why Jackson went off and Tudgay was left on.

Wing back system isn't working because they are pressing us high up the pitch and also no-one is supporting Haynes down the flanks. Swanson is very lightweight too. Add to this that our passing had been woeful and it paints a very depressing picture.

Very impressed with the subs. The way they were running up and down was very good. They ran up and then ran down again. They looked in control and showed good vision and we're always available. Good engines too.
