I am not sure what the time limit is but the club has always had this option to buy. Still to this day you have to wonder why they haven't exercised the Higgs option? Not sure why it is always about SISU v Council for their stake? Just buy the Higgs option which is in the contract.

My understanding is the the 50% stake by Higgs is being held as part of McGinity/Robinson regime when they were unable to buy the waste land. Council took 50% to fund the stadium and the other other by Alan Higgs (ex CCFC Director) to hold until CCFC could afford to pay it. There is a time limit...

In all of this stupidness from all involved with CCFC... The option for CCFC has always been there for them to buy the 50% stake by Higgs. Why have SISU never stumped up the cash for this? They complain they don't have a stake in the Ricoh They complain about the rent Yet in all these years...
