CHRISTMAS QUIZ 2021 - PLEASE READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!!

I haven't sent an entry, but owe Rob the entry fee he paid on my behalf. Great quiz, but I've performed like City in the second half against Millwall!

    Robins: “Split in the camp”

When Robins said 'split in the camp' (see thread title) I didn't think it referred to the vaccine debate on SBT!

    Our Recent Form

Hamer had been playing with a knock, then missing injured, Gyo was/has been playing with an injury, Dabo wasn't 100% (although Kane has covered for him). The combination of these events is what has cost us imo. Agree with the Godden, Walker combination bit - not helped by having mainly defensive...

Quite like it when there are draws in other games, as nobody gains much. It is what has cost us in recent games too. 'Good' results against Bournemouth, Sheff Utd, Huddersfield etc collectively hamstring movement up the league (compared to the old 2pts for a win system)

    Championship 21/22

Fantastic achievement of they do manage it, If they catch anybody, it will likely be either Hull or Cardiff who are most vulnerable. A lot will depend on whether Derby can hold to the majority of their prized assets.

    Championship 21/22

Funny old league, as we were all over them in our last game (before Mllwall). Sounds as though Forest should have won though from the match report.

    Championship 21/22

Ggggrrr re: QPR, but the other 2 results are fine.

    Championship 21/22

Taxi for Cooper, Warburton and O'Neill - you've got to be beating teams like that ffs. On a more serious note, I'd like to see Cardiff go down (which they probably won't)

Agree - you can't see Sheaf and Kelly ever scoring more than 3 between them and that's if they played every game (although Kelly has hit a few screamers last season). Hamer will score goals, but hasn't really got going this season. Think some of last night's problems stemmed from Walker/Godden...

Why are we relegation fodder season in, season out based on one completed season? Do you want us to get relegated, so that we can be successful in the league below? We ought to be able to slowly improve the squad each window, which should help us progress. Football fans tend to live in the here...

    January Transfer Window

Needs some game time, plus will free up a bit of money. Fine all round I would have thought.

First half O'Hare had his shot blocked by the keeper - Walker's follow up was well blocked by the keeper and Walker should have scored with that glanced header that cleared the bar. Second half, we had Allen, Gyo and Jodi Jones (without knowing levels of fitness) all capable of impacting the...

Don't disagree - but as I said, we played ok in the first half (although Godden and Walker were not clicking as a pair). It was the second half we were clearly flat and I thought MR should have changed things by the hour mark. Half time report from the Millwall forum : 0-0. coventry look the...

Agreed - although I felt we didn't get the rub of the green in the first half, and Millwall were hanging on. Second half was poor though.

Don't disagree, but this is only our second season in this division, and the first of those was with next to no income. It is therefore unsurprising that our team still needs strengthening. We all know the difference in quality between L1 and The Championship (see Rotherham, Wycombe...

The crazy lure/money of the PL is well illustrated by the fact that Blackburn's owners, who are knee deep in debt, are offering their playing squad £10m to split between them, should they get promoted.

    Millwall Match Thread 29th December.

Think it will be a weird market in January, where the large majority will be loan signings. When you look at the financial position of most of the clubs in our division, few are in a position to pay significant fees. As a result, managers unable to recruit due to financial constraint, will also...

When could our owners have helped him more? We haven't reached the window yet. Last season we recruited fairly well, and improved the squad. It's a progressive thing and we are progressing - go back 3 seasons. It can't always be a straight line of progression. In a football match your side can't...
