From now on this thread will be known as the shit thread. If it wasn't already of course.

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

Thanks Tommy. That's how I remember it. Was quite surprised at the time that one of the characters talked directly to the audience and told us that City were beating Man Utd 2-0. The whole audience laughed, cos they obviously thought it must be a joke. Didn't seem at all feasible that the Sky...

    The MIMIC

Typically though, thought last night's episode was quite poor.

    The MIMIC

Also from Utopia. I like the Mimic. It usually makes me smile anyway, but last week's episode I thought was really funny. Best one so far by a country mile.

Was thinking the same thing. The Gang Show. My brother was in the scouts and he did a few shows, so maybe I was forced to go there. Got a feeling it was 2 defenders who scored the goals, one being Maurice Setters. It was a fantastic result cos we were rock bottom and they were right at the top...

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

Saturday 16th March 1968. Weird that. Could have sworn it was a pantomime I was at. It was definitely something on at the Coventry Theatre.

    Yep. 67/68 season. 2-0.

Fair play to you, Fred. This is why the Sixfields thing gets to me so much. After going up for 47 years week in week out, not having my club around anyone is juist so deflating and distressing.

Wow! How far do you go back Fred? When was your first ever City game?

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

Not sure. I know he wouldn't let me go to that famous game against Man U when we beat them 2-0 and they had Best, Charlton, Law etc. in their team and he said the crowd would be too big. He took us to the Coventry Theatre instead to watch a pantomime. I recall someone on stage telling the...

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

I'm convinced my dad is wrong. Just looked at 1966/7 season and I don't remember a single one of those matches. Just checked 1967/8, the following season though and I remember quite a few of those. Think I was going to reserve games in about 1964/5, but I don't remember any City first team...

No, you misunderstand. What I remember was after we were promoted. When we were in the 1st Division and struggling week in week out. That would be 1967/8 season.

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

So you telling me there is no way I would forget that game if I was there? Just can't see how I could possibly have been there. Why would I remember all the shitty defeats around that time but not the biggest game in our history besides the FA Cup?

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

Houch's old photos got me thinking. Now amongst all those pics is one of the open top bus ride around the city centre after we won the league in 1967. On 29th April was obviously that really famous game between City and Wolves at the top of the table, when 51,000+ were at HR. City won 3-1 and...

Well as his mate's apparently a journalist with his finger on the pulse, I can only assume he's too busy at the Israeli/Palenstine peace talks to update us all on the Ricoh situation.
