Of course they don't. It was clear the fans simply would not back such a move, but that fell on deaf ears. Without fans there IS no club.

At no point did Sisu ask for the fans' help. If they had come out and said that we could not survive and the club could go under and asked for the fans help in appealing to the council and ACL to help save the club from extinction, things might have been different. I'm sure some will say...

But Coventry have somewhere to play IN Coventry. Wasps weren't even playing in their home city and have changed grounds 3 times. I'm not defending that and I still think franchising is wrong, but it is different. I am not outraged about the Wasps move, but would be totally outraged if Sisu...

    Trust meet Wasps

Not sure that's possible. A percentage scale only goes up to 100%. In spite of football foklore, you can't go past 100% If you are starting at 100% there's no where else to go.

Absolutely spot on. Nail on head.

But that's bollocks. They were trying to distress ACL. Sisu acted in Sisu's interest, not the club's. They don't give two hoots about our survival.

Think it would be a tiny minority. We had a stadium here in Coventry, our home town. There was simply no reason to move away. Sisu can say this and ACL can say that, but a short term agreement could have been arranged for us to remain at the Ricoh and we all know that it could. It is...

A smarmy, smug one at that too.

This is the reason why I don't feel any outrage and just find the whole situation saddening.

I would say most people understand why the council did the deal, but that doesn't mean they give their unqualified support. The council shouldn't have done the deal. The very least they should have done was to have consulted the football team, the rugby team and all the associated fans groups...

Things have changed. Football owners used to be local people, with an afinity or link to their clubs, quite often being fans themselves. It's all changed now and I dare say an awful lot of owners do not care much for the fans of their clubs at all.

    Fast Flowing Football

It's more 'dripping' than flowing and more 'tranquil' than fast and not very pressing. They need to rephrase that to 'our dripping, tranquil, slightly touching football.'

It is completely different. Different country, different culture. Of course I don't like it when teams move to completely different cities. It doesn't effect us on any single level though does it. The States is huge and in NFL football most individual states have just one single team. One team...

But that is the States. Completely different countries and cultures. Can't compare to entirely different cultures. It's happened with regularity over decades over there, here it is much more a rarity.

Why would I believe anything they would say? Franchising is wrong. Seemingly though, to some, it's fine having a club come in,but when you have one taken away it's a completely different thing and becomes a problem.

I'm not assuming anything. I would want and expect everyone to be anti franchise though.
