As well as singing sections and family sections and distanced sections, can we have an “actually here to watch the game” section?

Guy on the end of my row on Friday, walk up the steps “excuse me mate” … nothing “excuse me” …. Nothing *vague motioning that I’d like to get past*, finally drags his fat ass up so we can get past. “Thanks”. As I pass “Aren’t you going to say thank you! It’s free you know!!!!” Fucking cloth...

My daughter came out on Friday moaning about the kid sat behind her, kicking her seat, “talking absolute nonsense for 90 minutes non stop”. So proud of her, she’s a proper fan 🤗

I don’t read much media but that I’ve seen has said it’s a driver shortage not a fuel shortage. Certainly that’s what the road haulage association said.

TBF education level is the best predictor of vote these days. It’s not going to stop being used.

Don’t think I said that. I said accepting the first offer wouldn’t necessarily be the best business sense.

Economically I think it should be any job that’s evenly spread around the country and high in number. Public services, warehouse and driving work, retail, all meet that requirement.

Not sure about that. Depends on the interest rate on the debt and the appreciation rate of the asset. We’ve seen many a time the club make less than it could have by accepting the first offer it gets.

At least she wouldn’t have been taken in by the conspiracy nonsense the current incumbent was. Her plans were dangerous and destructive but at least there was a plan. Current guy is taken in by Piers Corbyn FFS.

Not many cabinet members with STEM degrees. All classics and history and stuff. Sort of thing you can bluster through and get marked by a sympathetic assessor.

Only point I’d pick here is that assumes foreigners have no agency. The wage is nothing to us in a high living cost country, to someone sending money home to EE it’s a small fortune and that’s why they do it. They aren’t being exploited here.

Its opportunity to earn up to £30/hr, no idea how many cabbages you’d have to pick in an hour to earn that, but I’d expect that’s record breaking pace.

Fruit picking is shit wages and shit conditions. Why would anyone do it? We can attract people willing to do that because our currency is worth so much more not because we’re work shy and they aren’t. People the world over respond to the same pressures.

I think that’s doing us down TBH. We’re world leading in a lot of knowledge work, we’ve gutted manufacturing but education, a lot of computing, pharmacy, etc we’re world leading. The idea you can have a solid economy on just knowledge work and services was the mistake the Tories made in the 80s...
