    Chris Coleman

The new Sunderland owner is talking to... Chris Coleman. This would be one of the funniest things ever to happen.

    FA Cup Final

That’s true. I reckon the League Cup Final will go abroad first. It wouldn’t surprise me if Carabao have written a blank cheque in the last year or so to test the EFL’s morality.

1998 World Cup draw / fixtures were fixed

The path is mapped out though. This year we know that first and second from our group will each play one of Columbia, Senegal, Japan or Poland. The two teams that win in that round are virtually guaranteed to play Brazil and Germany respectively. You can have a fairly good idea of who you’re...

    FA Cup Final

That’d be good but when would the extra game be played? Especially in a tournament year. It would probably mean the Cup Final would have to move to midweek.

The trains and Coventry station platform queue situation

It happens quite a bit when it gets busy or there’s been disruption for a prolonged period.

The trains and Coventry station platform queue situation

It was declassified last year. We’re not bothering with the train this year. Not worth the hassle. Will head down the M1 and will park at Cannons Park, Stanmore, East Finchley or somewhere else easy to get to.

Panama are at the same level as Slovenia. Not terrible or pushovers by any means and worthy of their place but would lose most games they play against the better teams. As I said Tunisia are far better than most make out. I know the FIFA rankings don’t mean much (Argentina somehow are 5th and...

Portugal to an extent too. They’re not “that good” and played some terrible football but were well organised and got the job done.

Tunisia - Win but think they could be harder to beat for us and Belgium than some are making out. Panama - We should win by one or two. Belgium - If the above happens the result is irrelevant and probably will be for Belgium too. Neither will have a preference of who they play next so hopefully...

Same goes for Loftus-Cheek. Livermore can’t be in that squad ahead of either of them and even Shelvey based on ability and form.

    Greet the lads on Friday

The Trust are supporting The Leamington and Warwick Supporters Club in their efforts to get a good number of fans to greet the team coach on Friday. Congregate at the away turnstiles for a 6:15 arrival. No pyros please! Sky Blue Trust - Back the Boys with the Warmest of Welcomes

It was. They only picked 2 but then were told they had to have 3. As they didn’t have anyone else available an outfielder then had to spend the next couple of weeks in goal in training to show FIFA he was a keeper.

If he does it’ll be due to his experience. Pickford will be number 1 but I’d have Pope ahead of Butland. Southgate said a few weeks ago that he likes to pick 23 and have a reserved list rather than a bigger squad and make it smaller later.
