The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Fair point, it is cynical but could be right (I doubt it). I guess we won’t know until we hear DUP/ERGs position on the new proposal In response to DJR, I believe the progression of No Deal plans and a lot of the noise made by the government (normalisation) MAY have just about convinced enough...

The fact he had a meeting with him yesterday where they agreed the principles of a deal ?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I guess because deep down he (like many others) was concerned about the indefinite nature of the backstop I’m talking about post becoming PM and then again after his first proposal, when many suggested he was pursuing a No Deal as his primary option. Why people don’t just hold their hands up...

Still trying to get a deal though Tony...however bad it might be (I’m not trying to justify what deal he might have agreed, I’m talking about the nonsense that he wanted to take us out without one) still might have to happen but that is/was not his primary intention

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

no, a lot called that he wanted to take us out on a No Deal and his proposals proved he wasn’t serious

Probably won’t get through Parliament unless DUP agree to it so a long way to go. For those Remainers in Parliament (and some of those on here) who insisted Johnson didn’t want a deal I hope they read the quote from Varadkar who was ‘absolutely convinced’ that Johnson wanted to strike a deal...

Come on sick boy, tony and astute, emotive a subject as this is, no need for getting personal (I know we all miss the Grendel/Mart fighting but they are irreplaceable so no point trying ;))

Yeah, waste of time the political dec ! It should’ve been as significant a doc as the WA (maybe not in pages but in time taken/importance) but due to all the delays etc etc it ended up being a back of a fag packet effort !

Greta Thunberg / Climate Change Summit

;) They were just off the top of my head ;). I’m sure there’s far greater minds than mine that would come up with other ways. ER could then focus on at least one of these each protest to get a solution driven message across. Agree with consumerism point, although this is an issue across the...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Labour had said they would leave both the single market and customs union (as it was).....but somehow retain the benefits. I said Mays agreement wasn’t contradictory to this. As we know the trade discussions weren’t taking place until after the withdrawal agreement is transition period (due to...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I don’t disagree DJR, I’ve said all along that the proroguing just didn’t feel right to me (not to mention there was little political gain) My point is that for all the uproar not a huge amount happened I agree that once it went to court, allowing it would have set a dangerous precedent...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

limited though and as I say, the perceived lack of interest in the No Deal planning indicated by the number of attendees (the main reason for getting the prorogation cancelled being Brexit) is disappointing MPs could’ve/would’ve worked without sitting. The only time I’ve seen Parliament full...

Anyone know the Parliament attendance list for Goves No Deal update yesterday prior to the prorogation ? Whilst a major tactical fuck up by Johnson/Cummings (and one I said I didn’t agree with) for all the screaming, shouting and attempted points scoring has much happened since the Supreme...

Greta Thunberg / Climate Change Summit

I’m literally torn on ER. I know that there needs to be urgent action on climate change (impossible to say how urgent) and am struggling to argue against methods to bring it to the country/parliaments attention....but I think two weeks blocking up London will garner as much negative reaction as...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Thought they said that they would leave the customs union and single market but sought to retain as much of the benefits as possible (ie be in a new customs union) might be wrong but think that’s accurate Ps just found this. See single market membership section. Like their current policy, not...
