This is a player who had bags of talent at a young age. He has had lots of big money moves to big clubs who have won trophies, yet he always failed to establish himself as a key figure at any of the club's. Always on the periphery. Successful financially but an under achiever in footballing...

This thread illustrates better than any other how our season has fallen by the wayside.

In the back four we have had forced disruption through incredible bad luck with injuries. Also trying to accommodate Coles needs we have had disruption in the midfield. Our team has been changing week to week and if you want to see the benefits of a settled team look at Burton. Also Walsall up...

HR was going past it's sell by date, of course we have great memories of it. The Ricoh has a great atmosphere with a decent crowd in it. I think it was the right move....except it was messed up by various parties. The club is in a sad old state and not where it should be.

Never bought into Cole will set our season alight hysteria. It was a risk worth taking but has flopped. there has been lots of factors I am sure but he is one of the reasons our season stalled in my opinion.

JOB played his part during all of this and like the players you have rightly highlighted, he didn't offer much of an option either. I don't know what has happened off the pitch or at training.....but why should it be Mowbreys fault? JOB seemed as keen to go as Mowbrey wanting him to go.

Don't be daft Otis, he hasn't been signed to get us promotion; that was Joe Cole. It doesn't matter whether this guy performs next season or even the season after..it would be good business. For him to turn our season round would be like winning the lottery so lets not even go there...

The trouble with threads discussing hyperthetical situations is we may as well discuss our chances of promotion if we had signed Messi Suarez and Aguero.

Give the lad a chance and don't expect too much too soon.
