Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

The line from Gilbert and Ridley was that that was wordplay and it was about ACL. Just trying to work out if it means a bidder is already in play, but it sounds like not.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Yeah I get all that, it was the talk of a bailout that confused me if they were getting bought out before admin.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Nah, you’ve got to have been a member for three months. But anyone could have signed up before. Tortoise Media got a tortoise, a Brit and a Ukrainian signed up I think who were all fake. So clearly they’re not exactly going through apps with a fine tooth comb.

Tyler Walker to come in and score 10 in his absence.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Right, so the meeting that never was last week would likely have been in case ACL was also going into admin then cancelled when not. Do we think that delay was requested by the council more in hope than expectation of a buyer? Seems to have been very quiet on rumours outside of NEC.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Cant believe after almost a decade all this shite might be over in a couple of weeks.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Yes I get that. But it still doesn’t answer my question about funding.

Weve only got about ten players on the books in the summer. I’d be surprised if we shipped out anyone we didn’t have to. Especially as I’d expect Vik to go in the summer as well, which would leave us just Tavares and Godden.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

So is that when funding is needed from? I’m very confused. Why all the talk of the council having to provide emergency funding last week and Duggins saying it’s down to bidders and he hopes it doesn’t go to admin?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Electricity bills, security, paying wages of ACL staff. That’s the gap that needs bridging this week and next. So that’s my question: if funding is needed (which common sense and talk of both council and bidders potentially stumping up would suggest) who is paying it? If no funding is needed...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

There’s no admin for ACL though is there? Or would Wasps admin pick up the tab?

    Keepers in championship

My concern is that these records come about because the team plays more defensively and when you need to take the shackles off the keepers weaknesses are exposed.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

So who is providing the funding right now? CCC said not them, Wasps are in Admin, Duggins said he expected bidders to pay for it, which suggests there’s a favourite bidder if it’s still going, right? Or have I missed something?

Match Thread ⚽️ Stoke City vs Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Oct

“Keeps his shape and harries” but never wins or intercepts the ball, so basically just running about a bit. He does not bridge defence and attack as shown by the whacking great hole when him Eccles and Sheaf played together. He makes safe passes but not smart passes. He’s the midfield equivalent...

Thing is, he’s not a DM. He’s made fewer interceptions than Godden and only Vik and Godden make fewer successful tackles or clearances. Plus he never splits a defence, hasn’t created a big chance all season. Hes just a bit of a nothing player. He runs a lot. That’s quite literally it.

    Keepers in championship

He’s cut out the madness, and I love his shithousing TBH. He can stay for now, I have questions whether we can leave him less protected.

    Josh Eccles

I would argue RWB is in midfield. Ideally we’d loan him out to L1 where he can get a run of games in his best position, but he’s not going to get ahead of Hamer/Sheaf/Kelly for a sustained period here. On the out ball I agree going forwards and thought Palmer especially needed to improve there...

Yeah fair enough, I have no idea of his fitness situation. Waghorn for him then.

    Josh Eccles

Thought we really missed Sheaf today, both defensively and as an out ball, Eccles needs to watch his positioning and work on his upper body strength before he’s ready to be a Championship CM IMO. I could see him getting time at RWB in the mean time.
