Got It will defo go to members vote, they’ve pretty much committed to it. I’m hoping debates might show truss up a bit. Won’t be happy is she wins but got a bad feeling

    O'Hare bids

I said at the moment though mate. As we haven’t had a bid that’s acceptable to us whys it a gamble to wait ? Everyone else is talking loads of ifs and buts. It’s irrelevant really…we don’t know if he’s going, if he does what price he’d go for, when he’d go or what replacements might be lined up...

    O'Hare bids

But the only alternative at the moment is selling Ohare for less than we value him

    O'Hare bids

It’s not really gambling. It sounds like nobody has met our valuation. I guess what BD and others are saying is the later in the window, the more desperate buyers might be, which would drive value/price up to what we’d be happy with If we lose that ‘gamble’ we’re left with one of best players...

    O'Hare bids

Nobody can say for certain until we know what the fee is surely. If management budgeted/thought say 6m for ohare and we ended up getting 8m, who’s to say the difference wont be available for reinvestment. You’d hope that’s the attitude at the club anyway

To be fair the economy has been fucked by the pandemic for two years and then the war. Everyone’s in a similar boat globally, possibly at slightly different stages. I want to hear ‘how’ he and others would do this though. What’s the grand plan ? Plenty of soundbites from candidates without much...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I was saying to someone yesterday that my concern was Truss sneaking into the final two with Sunak and then winning. She’s currently 5s…could be worth a dabble…put it towards emigration savings 😂

I think his support for the Rwanda policy is caveated with opening up some safe asylum centres/routes though. Id happily take dull and competent

I watched the LBC link that was posted yesterday. I thought she came across well. Like with all of them though, a lot will depend on what cabinet she ended up with

It’s strange how badly Hunt polls both with members and the normal world yet you’re not the first person to mention there’s support for him out there. I always think he comes across as pretty credible when I hear him. Maybe a bit dull but I don’t mind that

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Crazy I know but that’s politics It’s not going to be game changer but it might swing a couple of votes here and there, especially against other candidates with similar policies

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This is more than just mentalists making the point though. This will be Tory dark arts as she’s one of the favourites and certain people hoping it’s a weak spot for her when it comes to support

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Not sure that’s right if you’re implying what I think you are BSB. I remember seeing polling where Sunak was most popular amongst the members until NIC increase and his wife’s tax issues Edit - Grendel beat me to it

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Im not sure of the actual figure but I’ve heard the average age of Tory members is anywhere between 57-70 years old. Not ideal when someone is being picked to lead the country and address some of the longer term issues we face, like the ones Clint’s highlighted above I’m still to hear anyone...
