    The EU referendum

The UK economy remains in painfully slow growth. Of course you can say other countries are worse. Many economists believe the tories have made a pig's ear of managing the recovery. I am not ill-informed. I read the Telegraph, Spectator, New Statesman, Observer, Huffington Post amongst others...

    Favourite Sports

Anything with a ball / good, except all the US games. Anything without a ball / bad, especially any sort of race. I used to watch these but had a lightbulb moment one day when I realised races are great if you are in them and not if you're not. :claping hands:

    Ant and Dec

Ant is the one the stares at the camera. Dec is the one that seems a pleasant and harmless nonentity.

    The EU referendum

Cameron vanity project. Four months wasted on a sideshow so that he doesn't have to do anything useful at home and abroad. If he wins he will be hailed as a statesman rather than the timewaster he is. Meanwhile the economy bumps along the bottom, the public services dwindle away and major world...

    Next season's kit

You just have a problem with pale colours! That shirt would look great with sky blue shorts (and thick white stripe down sides) and socks. Or with white shorts (and thick sky blue stripe down sides) and sky blue socks.

Keeping up Appearances is the most sold BBC programme

Patricia Routledge is a very gifted actress, but in the time it was written that part was one of the best comic part written for women, and possibly still is. So the real shame is that such talent was constrained by a formulaic sitcom. Her best work, that I have seen, was a cameo role as Kitty...

    Gone!

I always meant to get round to watching something on BBC3. Too late now then. That puts sky1 to the top of the must-try-to-find-a-reason-to-watch list.

    Sandy Hook School 'Massacre'

The US government is behind all these massacres. They are all hoaxes so that they can deprive the freedom loving good ol' boys of their God given right to bear arms. ... allegedly. Sandy Hook shows that the free availability of guns allows anyone with psychotic illness to wreak havoc.

    Tom Hanks

The money pit is pretty crappy.

    Next season's kit

Loved it. It would have been even better with sky blue shorts with a thick black stripe down the side, like Chelsea had (a white stripe) then. But it wasn't as good as the all sky blue of the pinstripes that came next.

This team screams automatic promotion to me

    Weak weak weak. Bitey bitey

    Next season's kit

Sky blue shorts and socks with any of these would be fine. No white, navy or black shorts or we do not look like the sky blues to any objective viewer.

U18s v Arsenal at the Ricoh

Two hours then lose on penalties. What a waste of everyone's time. A Stupid way to end a tie IMO. Bring back replays or go down to no offsides in extra time or reduce number of players to 7 or summat.

    Next season's kit

Maybe you had your eyes shut for the first few years. I have always disliked any home kit that isn't primarily sky blue. I do like stripes if the sky blue is prevalent and the shorts and socks are sky blue. So maybe we could both be pleased. :claping hands:

    Next season's kit

Not all sky blue, we were the first and wore it for most of the 15 seasons before they ever wore it. In the 60s and 70s everyone knew we were the sky blues, Manchester City were NEVER called that. Your argument is that we shouldn't copy them because they are now considered the sky blues by the...

    Stephen Fry 'quits' Twitter

People tell jokes. Nearly every joke that is funny is insulting someone or something, even if it's only an idea. The degree of the insult is judged by many things, context, person who made the joke, audience etc. People get offended by jokes sometimes and we decide whether to apologise or let it...

    Next season's kit

As we were the first to have an all sky blue kit and they had one later, for a while, I think your argument is weak. What it boils down to is they stole our kit and we should just let them. The big boy stole my ball so I have to find another. As MT would say, weak weak weak. :guitar2:

Automatic or a day at Wembley

Automatic. The play off final is during half term and therefore myself, and plenty of other people, are away on holiday.

    Next season's kit

Manchester City were always white shorts. If you look on historical kits the wearing of blue shorts was not the norm for them, and isn't now. I can see them on my TV screen in white shorts.
