Glad Giles is starting he’s one of the few attacking outlets we have, which is especially needed if we start defensive mode as we have recently. Confident we get something from this, and I hope we get ourselves out of first gear and cause them some issues. Even if we revert to sitting deep, as...

I’m a Robins fan, nowhere near the idiotic taxi brigade that’s desperate to pounce on every mistake. But everyone has weaknesses and substitutions are absolutely one of MR’s. Often too late and/or the wrong ones.

Glad Allen is playing well, always been a fan but felt he’s been underwhelming this year, so really pleased he’s turning it around. Always felt he’s one of of our strongest technical players. Also pleased Sheaf is being recognised more, he can be completely out of games (which is the...

Got a keg of Framework Brewery Semper, a New England Pale Ale and one of North Riding Brewery, Mint Choc Chip Stout for today. Familar with both breweries, North Riding did a caramel type stout (can’t remember exact details) which was brilliant, so high hopes for this flavoured stout is as good!

Not looking forward to this as much as recent matches, although not exactly sure why! Sheaf and Hamer in the middle should mean we recycle the ball well and keep it moving as both are good on the ball, however we both to be on it for the whole game and not drift in and out. I would like to...

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas SBT. Like it or not, arguments, trolls and just plain idiotic posters, we are a little community. Enjoy the day, and while it likely won’t be the norm, we’ll all have our proper Christmas Days with all our families at some point next year.

Non festive songs that you associate with Christmas

Eva Cassidy - Fields of Gold. It was used on a Cancer Research advert around the same time my Grandad died of cancer at Christmas. A real Christmas cheery one!

Don’t have anything too exciting for tonight or tomorrow unfortunately. The in laws will buy some ale for me, but it’ll be one of those ‘Classic Ale’ type boxes with nothing too exciting, it’s a nice thought though. And of course I’ll drink it, it’ll be rude not to... I had to nip to a variety...

    Your Portfolio

Always fancied getting into this sort of stuff, but never found the time and other things took priority. Anyway, I have a little bit I could play with without the other half realising. Any hints/tips/recommendations where I could put it today?

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

The London thing is a strange one; of course they all want to get home to loved ones, and it isn’t their fault the rules changed so late in the day with little notice, it’s a question of personal responsibility again; go home to see family/friends at Christmas and potentially spread the virus...

Things have definitely evolved, it’s only the last couple of years places have started to stock craft stuff. It’s not spread to the smaller corner shop/Nisa’s etc yet though. At least not near me. Same with pubs, more and more offer real ales, and occasionally even a craft. They tend to be...

The local Co-op have a 4 for £7 offer on ales which is pretty good value wise. I tend to head straight to the craft section but it’s mainly “boring” stuff, in the sense it’s nothing unique and are widely available (Meantime, Brewdog, Camden Hells, Goose Island etc) - all good beers but nothing...

One that’s quite widely available these days and has the sharpy hoppiness is Oakham Citra. Haha I do like a flavoured stout/porter as opposed to a plain one. Old Growler by Nethergate Brewery is a nice traditional one.

Saltaire Triple Choc Stout? Sounds very nice, and it’s a new brewery for me too. I thought I’d tried one of theirs before but I don’t recognise the logo.

I like a darker beer (Porter, Stouts etc) around Christmas time, a few of my favourites: Titanic - Plum Porter (available in most supermarkets) Blue Monkey - Chocolate Guerrila DigBrew - Thoughts and Prayers (8% though!!) Titanic - Cherry Dark Brew York - Tonkoko (Milk Stout - vanilla and...

I haven't tried that one, as even though I dont mind Helles/Craft type lager I will plump for ale if I have a choice - and Aldi has a decent enough range of craft beers. What was it like? The Tempest Helles was nice - fairly malty and the usual characteristics you would expect. Still got a fair...

Dabo off the pace today unfortunately. Time for the enigma that is Kasteneer (joke). It is however absolutely time for Giles to have a go at their RB. He bombs forward leaving space and he’s on a booking.
