You are 100% correct in fact its about 1% of those who start the Academy journey at 9/10 year old to get to scholarship and then those that do it’s not a lot more that earn a pro contract at 18 and its then the real work begins to stay on the gravy train.

Young players from our Acadamy and youth teams are often treated appallingly from various so called supporters on this website. Players like Burge, Haynes, Connor Thomas, Stevenson still get slagged there are others might not have made super stardom here but all are being paid to play football...
