    What happened to Haskell?

I honestly don't think ownership is the issue, whether you're paying money in rent, leasehold, or interest on a loan. Ultimately that's always going to be a cost to the club, given we sold the only ground we owned outright. And access to income streams would be handy too - but you can't just...

Weve signed this Canadian Guy from QPR

In fairness, not many of us had heard of Nuddy, Gynn, or Emerson before they signed. Even GG and Babb probably went on to be bigger names after they left us. I don't mind if I haven't heard of our new signings, especially at this level. Some of our less able players were big names before they...

    What happened to Haskell?

In fairness, he probably thinks the same about me. I wouldn't blame anyone who wanted to ignore me either! Even the people who live in my house ignore me, especially if the subject turns to CCFC. ;)

    What happened to Haskell?

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck etc. Anyway, regardless of definitions I've found that by far most relaxing course of action is to simply ignore him. So that's what I've done. I'm a much happier person for it. :)

    What happened to Haskell?

How about answering some straight questions without looking into the past: Could we make more money for the club by being at the Ricoh right now, or not? Does making more money, right now, make us more viable, or less viable?

    What happened to Haskell?

I don't quite understand your use of the word viable here. Sooner or later it may become a reality though. If SISU fail in the JR, and ACL survives, SISU will be faced with mounting losses and the commitment to build a new stadium. At that point it could be selling and cutting their losses...

    What happened to Haskell?

Remind me again, why are we 'toughing' it out at Sixfields, when we could be at the Ricoh, right now, and doing much better financially? We didn't have to end up where we are, and we certainly don't need to stay there - trying to defend SISU's actions by saying this is the only way the club can...

    What happened to Haskell?

I think there's an option (c) here that you've overlooking. I think SISU are also likely to ditch the club at the point that they realise that the gamble has failed, they're still taking losses, and there's no scope of them creating something that will turn a quick profit. I think that happens...

I'll be at Cov Rugby this weekend too. I haven't managed to see them much this year, but typically enough as soon as I get some free time to start watching them the bloody wheels fall off! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm the common factor. ;)

    Judicial Review date confirmation

Happy to stick a tenner on it, edgy. CCC wins the case, and then wins any subsequent appeal if one is permitted. Not a wind up, it's my honest opinion. Shall we shake on it - loser donates to the winner's chosen charity via something proveable like justgiving, or something like that. At...

    Judicial Review date confirmation

Damages is going to be a bit tricky isn't it. Let's say the court find against the council. In this case what should have happened is that ACL were obliged to find funding elsewhere (assuming YB withdrew their support). If they could have found funding elsewhere, then it's unlikely that SISU...

    Judicial Review date confirmation

1/10 is good odds, I'll have a £100 on the appeal please. Also can I have a tenner on the HT/FT market, I'm going CCC/CCC. ;)

Apologies - it's not a pretty sight, I'd agree. At least on my motorbike I could wear a full face helmet! The frustration is that until my late teens I used to cycle everywhere, school, paper-round, out with mates, the works. Probably 100 miles a week or more. I don't even remember getting...

Pressley Trying To Get A Striker In

Absolutely. I didn't intend to start that row up again, but I don't think we're a team (or perhaps more accurately, play in a style) well suited to poor conditions at the moment.

I'm doing it too - but mostly so that I can wear lycra outside the house, legally. Fwiw, I much preferred my two wheel days when there was a big oily engine in the frame, and I was mostly made of bone and gristle rather than fat and sweat. ;)

Pressley Trying To Get A Striker In

I do worry that we're the kind of team that might struggle in crap conditions - a bit lightweight and inexperienced, perhaps. It's doubly worrying because I think it's likely that we'll face poor pitches at Sixfields for the rest of the season. I wonder if we're looking for a more traditional...

    sisu win an award

And I also take the point - regardless of what side you're from, we should all try not to let every thread turn into the pro/anti SISU argument. The problem is that it's easy to bite - and I should know because I'm probably one of the worst offenders. Luckily, my valium arrived in the post...

Given how few we probably sell, maybe it's like the Book of Kells - we can have a monk hand drawing the letter at the start of every paragraph... Joking aside, fair play to the designers, always nice to have your work recognised. (Or so I'm told, I spend my working life trying to make sure no...

    Elvis admitting defeat

I think ACL did explain their reasons, and with a reasonable degree of clarity, here... http://www.football.co.uk/coventry_city/acl_not_stopping_ccfc_ltd_being_liquidated_rss4395693.shtml You may not agree with why they did it, but there's your explanation for why they did it. As to why we...
