    Coventry v Birmingham matchday thread

Well, whatever the result, i'm proud that the team have shown they're at least equal to the bluenoses, which is no mean feat, seeing as most of them are freebies and on peanuts a week compared to the Brum players. I'd be a mighty worried fan if i were a bluenose...poor start to the season, and...

Has Sammy Clingan been linked with anybody yet?

Sammy will sign for a team like Barnsley...those types of teams dont have big money for transfers, but love to pick up established players...he may find he'll have to take a cut in wages though

Malaga and the Edge at the job centre lol

If they are both French, surely they don't need visas, so maybe it does take rocket scientists  Being foreign nationals though, they will need British National Insurance numbers, as a poster has already mentioned...much more plausible.

A guess at the budget figures this season

So a conservative estimate is for a £3m loss, even after selling Bigi and Keogh ? Wow..that's scary stuff. Despite all the obvious excitement and crazy optimism for the new season in Div 1, this should be a post that everyone reads....welcome to reality folks !

Wish Keogh ATB - wish he hadn,t gone to the Rams

I have an old Derby supporting schoolmate, who i havent seen or heard from in ages. He's a smug b'stard at the best of times. I expect a call/text shortly to rub my nose in it.....why did Keogh have to go to Derby ??

keogh dont want to play right back

Other way round....always preferred to be CB, but decent right back too and played there out of necessity

must be hard for BBC not to to say told you so to FIFA

Blatter, though not president at the time, was still a prominent fifa member...and tried very hard to crush this investigation, and rubbish its findings. For some reason, he doesnt like people looking into fifa's dealings :thinking about:

    Brian Howard

WAS a quality player a few years ago and @ 28yo, still in his prime. Would be a great signing if true.

Just my thoughts after weeks of reading your thoughts

To be fair to BSB, paragraphs just require you to press the return/enter button a few times....hardly time consuming or mentally taxing. It would also have made your interesting post an even better read ;)

Hoffman- Plenty of free time now.

Especially as he was apparently paid £2.8m...that should tide him over his period of unemployment

    Transfer embargo lifted.

Has anyone else noticed that this year, SISU haven't made a big deal about 'funding' the club, when the accounts were finally submitted. Last year they made a huge deal about how they'd put in £5m or so. Does this suggest, that after all the sales & cost cutting, that they are not having to...
